Forklift Operator (2nd Shift)

Position Summary

Crescent FLO’s are responsible to move the necessary materials throughout the warehouse in an effective, efficient, and very safe manner.
FLO’s are responsible to provide the necessary logistics services to our internal and external customers. The FLO’s processes will operate as outlined in the Crescent Way- 3 P’s:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safety
    Read, understand, and follow the Doing it Safe Playbook.
    Understands and complies with all safety requirements.
    Do not walk by any unsafe act or behavior.
    Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
    Complete forklift inspection and trailer inspection forms accurately and according to procedure.
    Operate forklift in a safe manner in trailer, warehouse, production floor, and around other workers.
People
    Motivated member of the Crescent team.
    Ability to work and complete individually assigned tasks.
    Work well in high paced environment.
    Work closely with other FLO’s, Line Leads, Shipping and Receiving, and Supervisors to complete tasks on time, resolve issues, and continuously improve.
    Ability to learn tasks, layout, and customer requirements quickly.
    Ability to operate warehouse management system.

Productivity
    Operate forklift efficiently to maximize productive time.
    Communicate with Production to prioritize, pull, and stage inventory accurately and according to procedure to ensure efficient line operation.
    Efficiently load and unload trailers to maintain turnaround times for each dock appointment.
    Communicate with lead and supervisor to maintain good workflow for assigned tasks.
    Consistently reach pallets per hour productivity standard.

Quality
    Load trucks according to Crescent and Customer requirements with consideration for weight, balance, and load security.
    Report all safety, quality, near misses, accidents, mistakes, and product damages accurately and according to procedures.
    Ability to accurately verify and count items to be picked, staged, or loaded.
    Ensure the integrity of lot code is maintained through every product movement process.
    Maintain customer or inventory separation when required.

Customer Value
    Handle customer owned product with care and protect their brand.
    Work efficiently to provide on time delivery for each customer request.
    Identify and be a part of continuous improvement efforts.

Financial
    Provide ideas to continually improve productivity, GMP’s, and RSW.
    Continually seek out means to remove sources of waste throughout the warehouse.
    Look for ways to increase sustainability.

Work Environment / Physical Demands

Fast paced environment, requiring FLO’s to follow specific guidelines and instructions to meet a set productivity goal. The ability to establish repetitious routines, and be flexible to the flow of the business.
    Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arm’s length, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
    Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
    Possess the necessary level of hand / eye coordination to safely operate industrial equipment.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

    High school diploma and 2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications.

Preferred Qualifications:

    Regulatory GMP manufacturing experience
    Lean manufacturing and continual process improvement experience

    Maintain an organized warehouse.

 

Pay Range

$18.50 - $18.50 USD
