JOB SUMMARY
Cresco Labs is seeking a Lead Cultivation Agent to support day-to-day operations within our Clone and Vegetative Department. This role is responsible for overseeing clone and veg staff, executing cultivation processes specific to early-stage plant care, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory and internal policies. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in plant propagation, strong attention to detail, and proven leadership ability.
CORE JOB DUTIES
Agent Support and Management:
- Supervise cultivation agents and manage daily task assignments, schedules, and training.
- Serve as a role model and provide ongoing support to cultivation staff regarding procedures, compliance, and company policies and procedures.
- Provide real-time coaching and escalate performance or behavioral concerns to management as needed.
- Foster a clean, compliant, and efficient work environment by overseeing sanitation and workflow in assigned areas.
Cultivation Operations:
- Oversee daily clone and veg activities, including assisting with mother plant care, taking and rooting clones, transplanting, organizing plant staging, and supporting early-stage plant maintenance tasks.
- Ensure proper environmental conditions (e.g., humidity, temperature, lighting) for propagation and early-stage growth.
- Measure, mix, and apply nutrients and additives in accordance with company protocols.
- Support strain rotation and plant inventory management to align with facility production goals.
Compliance, Documentation & Communication:
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of plant movements, applications, and inventory in the seed-to-sale tracking system.
- Assist with audits, inspections, and internal reporting as required.
- Communicate regularly with the Garden Management to relay team progress, plant health concerns, or resource needs.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Demonstrated experience training, leading and/or mentoring junior staff or new hires preferred.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing operations in a large-scale agricultural, horticultural, or cannabis cultivation facility is preferred.
- Two years’ experience within a production facility, regulated field highly preferred. Or, any satisfactory combination of experience and training which clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the above-described duties.
- Advanced knowledge of plant cultivation and cultivation facility operations; Strong knowledge of clone propagation techniques, vegetative growth cycles, and best practices for early-stage plant care preferred.
- Effective time-management, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task
- Computer literacy in word processing, point-of-sale systems, windows-based software, and database management
- Knowledge of medical cannabis policy and law
- Critical-thinking, problem-solving, planning and assessment skills
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment
- Requires work around plant material, which could include exposure to plant pollen and/or dust.
- Requires ability to sit, stand, kneel, and/or do repetitive actions with your hands for long periods of time.
- Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs to torso level.

In accordance with any local and state compensation laws, the compensation listed is the current estimated range for the position. Final offer details and future compensation may be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to, geographic location, market compensation data, skills, experience, and other relevant factors. Pay Range
$20.50 - $20.50 USD
