JOB SUMMARY

Cresco labs is seeking a highly organized, self-starting Manager of Post-Harvest Operations for multi-site role. This role partners with Site and Corporate Operations to ensure post-harvest operations and quality are maintained and elevated through continuous improvement and best practices. This role will report to the Director, Operations Strategy. This will be primarily a traveling role to operational facilities across the country. Ideal candidate will be located near an existing operational site but not required. This roles focus will be on hitting key operational targets. Post-Harvest includes overlap with Cultivation on the harvest process, through manufacturing and packaging. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in the drying and processing of cannabis and controlling large scale dry rooms. This role is a people and process focused role where leading through influence is critical working effectively across functional lines.

CORE JOB DUTIES 

  • Hands on training with front line managers and employees in Post-Harvest such as harvest, drying, bucking, machine trimming, hand trimming, and material care. 
  • Guide dry room management as needed with site managers
  • Pull together and review core metrics with site managers to ensure consistent operational performance
  • Mentor and develop front line leaders in best practices focusing on material care, quality and stability and repeatability of processes 
  • This role has primary authority over post-harvest operations, harvest through packaging. Cross functional projects may expand into cultivation, packaging, or supply chain as needed, or other functions in meeting the goals of the business as directed by leadership. 
  • Ability to pull together data from multiple sources including structured and unstructured data
  • High attention to detail in onsite post-harvest operations and auditing operational data 
  • Communicate and translate data into information to provide operational recommendations and continuous improvement • Leverage existing knowledge of the operational flow and product care to make recommendations to operational stability and continuous improvement 
  • Analyze Seed to Sale compliance data to ensure operational processes are being followed 
  • Ability to flex between “big picture" and attention to detail for supporting information 
  • Identify risks and opportunities with Cresco’s cultivation, post-harvest operations, and packaging, recommending potential solutions to mitigate long-term operational risk 
  • Partner with operational site department leaders for regular review of operational metrics •
  • Work with front line leaders to implement, troubleshoot operations execution, and data collection systems 
  • Comfortable developing, documenting, and implementing processes • Ability to clearly define and manage projects from concept through completion 
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned, including special projects that may overlap with other departments

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS  

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required 
  • Experience working with, handling, and caring for cannabis in medical and recreational markets 
  • Ability to work in a highly regulated industry 
  • Strong knowledge of compliance systems and cannabis regulations preferred 
  • 2-5 year of cannabis experience 
  • 2-5 years of experience in operations, manufacturing, engineering or related fields 
  • Understanding of operations, supply chain, theory of constraints, continuous improvement, problem solving skills (PDCA/Scientific Method) • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, effectively manage workload to meet deadlines, while ensuring a high standard of quality 
  • Self-starter who is results, detail oriented, and comfortable working on multiple initiatives 
  • Ability to travel up to 75% - 100%

In accordance with any local and state compensation laws, the compensation listed is the current estimated range for the position. Final offer details and future compensation may be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to, geographic location, market compensation data, skills, experience, and other relevant factors. Pay Range

$80,000 - $100,000 USD
