
Analyst / Senior Analyst
Crestline Investors, Inc., founded in 1997 and based in Fort Worth, Texas, is an institutional alternative investment management firm. Crestline specializes in credit and opportunistic investments, including financing and restructuring solutions for mature private equity funds. In addition, the firm manages a multi-PM equity market-neutral hedge fund, and provides beta and hedging solutions for institutional clients. Crestline has an immediate opening for an Analyst / Sr. Analyst (depending on candidate's work experience) to work as part of the Middle Office Operations team. Crestline’s credit platform has grown significantly over the past five years and has plans to continue growing rapidly. This role is a critical player in our goal of supporting continued business growth, process efficiencies, and scaling operations. The role sits at the intersections of finance, accounting, legal, client partnership/marketing, and the investment team, offering broad exposure to the inner workings of our private credit platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, experience in reconciliations and reporting, and an interest in fund/portfolio modeling to drive insights and support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly internal and external reporting
- Build, maintain and enhance internal fund-level models
- Support portfolio forecasting, liquidity modeling, and covenant monitoring
- Reconcile bank accounts, fund activity, and portfolio transactions
- Validate transactions are functioning properly against the underlying legal documents
- Liaise with administrators and internal stakeholders to resolve breaks
- Review and manage periodic reporting from custodians and trustees to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate closing activities with deal teams, accounting/treasury, loan agents and administrators, and fund administrators
- Assist in implementing automation and workflow improvements to streamline fund operations
- Contribute to the design and documentation of policies, procedures, and controls
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- Exposure to private credit, direct lending, bank loans, or alternative investments preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in operations, fund accounting, or middle office at an asset manager, fund administrator, or investment bank preferred
- Strong Excel skills required; experience with Power BI, Python, and/or VBA a plus
- Comfort working with and analyzing large data sets
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Team oriented – builds rapport with team and learns to work as a group to uphold responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset
- Perhaps most importantly, the hunger to learn and work as part of a fast-paced team
