About This Role:

An Account Executive, Inside Sales, owns a quota and is responsible for driving new paid subscription revenue across an assigned territory of commercial real estate brokers and owners. This is a full-cycle inside sales role — from outbound prospecting and cold calling through demo, negotiation, and close — focused on converting active free and marketplace users into paying customers and positioning Crexi as the go-to listing and marketplace platform for their business. Success in the role is measured by consistent attainment of monthly revenue targets, pipeline rigor, and the ability to translate Crexi’s value proposition into ROI that resonates with broker and owner workflows. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Owns the full sales cycle, from outbound prospecting and cold calling through demo, negotiation, and close.
  • Runs high-volume outbound to commercial real estate owners and brokers, positioning Crexi as the go-to listing and marketplace platform for their business.
  • Delivers compelling, tailored product demos that speak directly to brokers’ and owners’ workflows.
  • Negotiates and closes new paid accounts, consistently hitting and exceeding monthly revenue targets.
  • Identifies and converts active free and marketplace users into paid subscribers by demonstrating clear ROI.
  • Builds and manages a healthy pipeline with rigor, leveraging Salesforce, Outreach, and AI-assisted prospecting tools to keep CRM data accurate, current, and actionable.
  • Represents Crexi at industry events and conferences as a brand ambassador in your region.
  • Partners with the product team by relaying customer feedback and market signals to influence the roadmap and improve Crexi’s offering.
  • Contributes to individual and team business planning to drive attainment of revenue goals and quotas.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of Crexi’s value proposition, product line, and broader commercial real estate trends.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in a quota-carrying sales organization.
  • 3+ years of inside sales or SDR/BDR experience, with a track record of meeting or exceeding activity and revenue targets.
  • Demonstrated cold-calling experience and comfort with a high-volume outbound motion (required).
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce and a modern sales engagement platform (Outreach, Salesloft, or similar) preferred.
  • Commercial real estate background or exposure preferred, not required.

  • Strong customer-facing, sales, and negotiation skills, with the ability to move deals from first call to signed contract.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to brokers, owners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with clients and to collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Disciplined pipeline and time management, with a track record of working a high-volume outbound motion.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Salesforce, Outreach, Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Zoom, RingCentral, and Jira.
  • Comfort using AI-assisted tools (call intelligence, prospecting, email drafting, research) to increase outbound volume and personalization without sacrificing quality.
  • Creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret pipeline and activity data to adjust tactics.
  • Coachable, accountable, and resilient — actively seeks and applies constructive feedback.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive, team-first attitude in a fast-paced sales environment.

The California base pay range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 per year with eligibility for generous commissions, equity, and healthcare insurance.  The total compensation package offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, the type and length of experience applicable to the role and within the industry, job-related skills, job level, and geographic location.  Commercial Real Estate Exchange, Inc (“Crexi”) is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
