Business Development Representative
Copper River Information Technology is seeking a talented Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our dynamic team. This role will require you to be onsite in Chantilly, VA for training and then will be remote. The BDR will be a part-time, non-exempt position.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Make outbound cold calls to prospective clients or customers using provided lists.
- Introduce and explain the company and its offerings to potential clients.
- Answer very basic questions about the products or services.
- Generate leads or schedule appointments for sales representatives.
- Maintain accurate records of calls, including details of conversations and outcomes.
- Follow up with potential leads to nurture interest.
- Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly targets for calls made and leads generated.
- Handle objections and rejections professionally and persistently.
- Collaborate with sales teams to convert leads into customers.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Experience:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence and professionalism on the phone.
- Basic understanding of sales techniques and tactics.
- Ability to handle rejections and continue with positive energy.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and tracking lead information.
- Good organizational skills to manage call lists and follow-ups.
- Willingness to learn about the company's products or services in-depth.
- Bonus points if you have:
- Experience in sales or customer service.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with CRM software.
- Prior cold calling or telemarketing experience
