Management Analyst
Copper River Technologies is seeking a Management Analyst to support a program within the Washington Headquarters Service. This position is an integral part of service delivery on a Continuous Process Improvement, Business Process Reengineering, and Records Management Services contract. In support of our client, the analyst is responsible for providing support for Records Management and standard operating procedure development and revision.
This position reports to the Program Manager, and is located in Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Records Management Compliance: Continue implementation and maintenance of records management program in line with NARA regulations and standards, including creation, maintenance, and disposal of federal records.
- Records Retention: Apply NARA-approved records retention schedules to ensure appropriate classification, retention, and disposition of records. Coordinate records destruction in accordance with authorized schedules.
- Policy Development and Implementation: Draft and enforce records management policies and procedures that align with federal requirements. Work closely with management to integrate these policies across departments.
- Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to staff on NARA-compliant records management practices, including the proper handling and classification of electronic and physical records.
- Audit and Quality Control: Conduct regular audits of records management practices to verify compliance with NARA and other federal standards. Address and resolve any gaps or discrepancies in records management practices.
- SOP Creation and Documentation: Develop and document clear, comprehensive, and accurate standard operating procedures (SOPs) for diverse business processes to ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency.
- Process Evaluation and Improvement: Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to assess existing processes and identify areas for improvement. Ensure SOPs reflect streamlined, effective workflows.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with department leads and subject matter experts to gather detailed information on procedures. Translate this information into user-friendly SOPs that are accessible to all relevant team members.
- Quality Assurance and Consistency: Develop and implement quality assurance checks to verify that SOPs are followed consistently across all relevant departments.
- Develop presentations and reports.
- Analyze data and prepare draft analysis of data for customer review.
- Prepare illustration/graphics support that requires visual display/presentations/aids.
- Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Records management experience and/or completion of a records management training program.
- Must have demonstrated the ability to work independently or under only general direction.
- Good written and oral communication skills are required.
- Desired Skills:
- Certified Records Manager (CRM) or NARA’s Federal Records Management Training Program.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
