AFSOC Functional Systems Administrator
Position Summary:
TACG is looking for an experienced System Administrator with Level II to provide systems administration and IT maintenance activities as required to support operations. They will provide continuous support and maintenance for the IT systems of the Logistics Mission Support Applications (LMSA), including software and hardware systems, applications and systems security.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist and perform required system security patching and software updates as identified by program manager
- Perform configuration, management, troubleshooting client workstations including the performance of client support technician duties
- Assist with identifying equipment that needs to be acquired
- Assist with evaluation of new technologies
- Support system life cycle planning
- Provide recommendations for integration of new systems
- Advise on integration issues associated with updates
- Implementing system solutions for LMSA software for garrison, deployable and expeditionary operations
- Prepare systems for operational use and supporting operational tests
- Assist with Information Assurance (IA) for program systems to include coordination to ensure all IA actions are properly completed
- Coordinate all Information Assurance (IA) documentation and feedback with the AFSOC/A4MX office; MAJCOM will notify appropriate offices
- Prior to patches, updates, upgrades to systems, provide a coordination plan to the Government for communication of schedule, potential impacts, and applicable mitigation measures, at a minimum
- Responsible for equipment tagging, tracking, notification of equipment warranty expiration dates, and notification of necessary software upgrades
- With Government approval at GTL level, reconfigure, relocate, install/load applications/software, recommend purchase of material, or equipment
- Develop and maintain data archives and establish automated tools to aid in the daily tracking of squadron and higher headquarters activities.
- Prepare, coordinate, and maintain relevant site security documentation.
Essential Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
- 3+ years background and experience in managing projects within an information security business area, or related area
- Federal experience

- Excellent trouble-shooting and problem solving skills
- Ability to effectively and efficiently work within a team
Certifications
- DoD 8570-1M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Certification
