Link-16 Network Designer
TACG is seeking a Link 16- Network Designer to support the US Government Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contract for Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) Link-16 Network Design. This full-time position is located at HQ RSAF in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and includes lodging, transportation, cell phones and other amenities as part of employment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and update RSAF Link 16 networks as required.
- Develop Link 16 networks for exercises with coalition partners.
- Provide JNDA OJT to RSAF personnel.
- Monitor and provide feedback on operational and training Link 16 networks.
- Provide expert Link 16 support to RSAF with key operational solutions to issues that arise during daily Link 16 operations.
- Required to work both individually and collectively within the guidelines and directions provided by Head of Department (HoD).
- Execute tasks assigned by HoD related to Link 16 including attending meetings and conferences, preparing briefings, etc…
Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance
- 4-year college degree or 10-year military experience in lieu of college degree.
- 4 years’ experience designing Link 16 Networks.
- 2 years’ experience designing Link 16 Networks for modernized Link 16 terminals (MIDS LVT-1 BU2 and MIDS JTRS).
- 7 years of military Link 16 experience preferred.
- Must be proficient in the use of Joint Network Design Aid (JNDA) tool.
Skills & Experience:
- Candidate shall have a strong overall Link 16 knowledge base. The candidate shall be proficient in the use of the JNDA tool.
- Candidate shall have experience developing Link 16 networks for modernized Link 16 terminals.
- Candidate shall have experience developing Link 16 networks that incorporate all aspects of a modernized Link 16 network to include: CMN4, CCR, LET, etc.
- Candidate shall have experience collecting IER’s and platform specific data for platforms that will be included in new and updated Link 16 networks.
- Candidate shall have experience evaluating and troubleshooting Link 16 Networks.
- Candidate shall have experience providing OJT on the use of the JNDA to other RSAF personnel learning to design Link 16 networks.
- Candidate shall have experience providing support during various technical interchange meetings or conferences, JMM, and platform specific meetings, i.e., AWACS, F- 15’s, RJ, King Air, etc., as required.
- Experience with Tactical Network Design Station (TNDS) a plus.
