Project Control Analyst
Copper River Shared Services is seeking a Senior Project Control Analyst to support financial planning and analysis activities across the Copper River Family of Companies. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team that plays a critical role in financial oversight and decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring strong project financial management experience, expertise in revenue forecasting, and a solid understanding of financial systems, reporting processes, and data visualization tools.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Partner with Accounting and Contracts departments within CR Shared Services, and with the Operating Company Leaders to create and maintain rolling 12–18-month project level, individual company level, and consolidated/multi-company revenue and gross margin forecasts.
- Partner with Accounting and Contracts departments within CR Shared Services, and with the Operating Company Leaders to create and maintain Revenue Backlog reports.
- Prepare and updat Estimate at Completion (EAC) analyses monthly, partner with accounting team on monthly revenue recognition.
- Prepare monthly revenue and gross margin variance report and analysis at the project and company level.
- Provide Program Managers and Operating Company Leaders with timely financial reports, including timesheet reporting, utilization, backlog, and budget-to-actuals and assist with quarterly reporting requirements (for board meetings, program reviews, company level reviews, etc.).
- Participate in monthly financial reviews with Program Managers and Operating Company Leaders to identify variance driver and corrective actions.
- Establish consistent communication of labor utilization reports to key stakeholders.
- Perform new project set-ups and modifications in the ERP system, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Develop custom financial dashboards and reports in Power BI to provide actionable insights and meet stakeholder needs.
- Identify and implement efficiencies in financial reporting, forecasting, and project tracking to improve accuracy and streamline workflows.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in project financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Basic knowledge of revenue recognition for various contract types (FFP, CPFF, T&M, etc.).
- Knowledge of GAP and ASC606 audit and reporting requirements.
- Experience with ERP systems for project set-up, revenue tracking, and reporting.
- Forecasting/reporting automation tools (TM1, Hyperion, etc.).
- Familiarity with CUI, DFARS, and CMMC compliance is beneficial.
- ANC/Tribal experience and/or 8(a) contracting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Power BI for financial dashboard development and custom reporting.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
