Project Financial Analyst
Copper River Shared Services is searching for a Project Financial Analyst to join Shared Services in support of our family of companies. In this role, you will oversee project set-up and the ongoing management of Deltek direct projects. This is a fantastic chance to become part of a dynamic and expanding team that collaborates across multiple departments and plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and oversight. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical abilities and organizational expertise.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Collaborate with program managers and the contracts department to establish projects in Costpoint and implement modifications as necessary.
- Oversee the internal approval workflow, ensuring the timely completion of project setup tickets.
- Provide project support for various contract types, including Fixed Price (FP), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Time & Materials (T&M), and Hybrid contracts.
- Work closely with Project Control, Program Managers, Contracts, and the accounting team to ensure project setup configurations align with billing, revenue recognition, and reporting requirements, as well as company policies.
- Analyze and interpret contractual requirements to ensure accurate Costpoint setup.
- Participate in project kick-off meetings for new awards, option years, and other significant changes as required.
- Maintain up-to-date contract setup and modification documentation, ensuring it is properly stored in Costpoint.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field
- Experience:
- 2-3 years hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint including project setup
- Skills:
- Proven ability to excel in fast paced, customer-focused, and collaborative team environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a clear, friendly, professional, and proactive style.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formula creation
