Vice President - Capture Excellence
The Copper River Family of Companies is seeking an exceptional Vice President, Capture Excellence for its newest entity Copper River Strategies, LLC. This new company is tasked with driving organizational growth across the Copper River Family of Companies by centralizing key functions such as business development, sales, capture management, marketing, proposal management and strategic partnerships. The overarching goal for Copper River Strategies is to achieve ambitious revenue targets and ensure cohesive growth. The Vice President, Capture Excellence will play a crucial role in driving the company’s business development efforts, enhancing capture strategies, and developing competitive pricing models to secure government contracts. This role is located in Chantilly, VA, and reports directly to the Chief Growth Officer (CGO).
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Business Development Process Development:
- Design and implement a comprehensive business development process that aligns with Copper River's strategic goals.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the BD team to enhance overall performance.
Capture Management:
- Lead the capture process for major opportunities, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop winning proposals and strategies.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform capture strategies.
Pricing Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement pricing strategies that maximize competitiveness while ensuring profitability.
- Conduct market analysis to identify pricing trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure pricing strategies align with company financial goals.
Performance Metrics:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of business development and capture efforts.
- Regularly report on progress to the CGO and other executive leaders.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field required.
- MBA or advanced degree highly preferred.
Requirements:
- At least twenty years' experience in business development, capture management, or growth-related roles in Government Contracting and Commercial industries.
- ANC/Tribal experience and/or 8(a) experience preferred.
- Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth, leading strategic initiatives, and successfully entering new markets.
- Strong understanding of federal procurement processes and regulations.
- Proficient in CRM tools and program/project management.
- Ability to obtain and maintain at minimum Top Secret Security Clearance (if applicable).
