Apprentice
ReconCraft is seeking an Apprentice to join our boat manufacturing team. As an Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience and learn various aspects of boat production, from assembly to finishing. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in developing a career in boat manufacturing and gaining valuable skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Training and Learning: Assist experienced technicians and craftsmen to learn the fundamentals of boat manufacturing, including materials, techniques, and safety practices.
- Assembly: Participate in the assembly process, including the installation of components and systems such as engines, electronics, and fittings.
- Fabrication: Work with materials such as fiberglass, wood, and metal to create and repair boat parts.
- Inspection: Learn and perform quality control checks to ensure that all components and finished boats meet company standards and specifications.
- Maintenance: Help maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Documentation: Assist in documenting work processes, procedure and maintenance activities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including engineering, design, and production, to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in mechanical or marine engineering is a plus.
Skills:
- Basic mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry materials, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
- Safety: Commitment to following safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Passion for Boats: Genuine interest in the boating industry and enthusiasm for learning about boat manufacturing.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise during the manufacturing process.
- Team Player: Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
- Adaptability: Willingness to take on a variety of tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
