HR Project Specialist
COHO Consulting Group is seeking a HR Project Specialist to support the DEA’s HR Directorate contract that provides support for a full range of recruitment and staffing functions to include recruiting, examining, selecting, and placing employees; performing job analysis; and advising management with respect to identifying, attracting, and retaining a high-quality workforce capable of accomplishing the organizations’ mission and on the interpretation of federal and agency policies and procedures, and guidelines. The task involves the application of merit promotion principles consistent with all applicable laws, federal regulations, Executive Orders, and Departmental, and Component guidance.
Onsite in Arlington, VA, reports to Program Manager.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Monitor and analyze veteran recruitment, hiring, conversion metrics, veteran disability hiring.
- Develop websites, training materials and briefings to DEA stakeholders on veteran program opportunities.
- Develop veteran program materials for distribution to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop veteran focused job opportunity announcements to establish noncompetitive listing of individuals available for non-competitive hiring.
- Review resumes for veteran employment eligibility.
Develop automated veteran resume bank to store and organize the listing of veterans eligible for noncompetitive hiring. - Conduct and monitor veteran outreach and education of DEA employment opportunities, participation (or support) (in partnership with the DEA Corporate).
- Recruitment (HRCR) team) at veteran focused recruitment events.
- Establish innovative mechanisms to recruit and hire veterans at the DEA.

- Bachelors’ degree in a field of expertise related to substantial experience working directly with Veterans.

- Shall have strong leadership and communication skills and proficiency in navigating Government agencies and regulations.
