Licensed Speech Pathologist
Coho Integrated Solutions is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Licensed Speech Pathologist to deliver outstanding behavioral health services at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. In this vital role, you will support the well-being of active-duty military personnel and their families through comprehensive speech and language services.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Conduct intake interviews with parents and caregivers, building supportive relationships and facilitating referrals to additional services.
- Administer standardized assessments including FEAS, CARS, Greenspan Social-Emotional Growth Chart, and REEL.
- Design and implement customized PLAY Project plans and curricula, supporting parent-mediated intervention approaches.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress through follow-up assessments; prepare comprehensive written and video-based feedback.
- Engage in daily communication with patients and staff via secure telehealth platforms to support effective care coordination.
- Perform clinical assessments, provide targeted interventions, and consult with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools (e.g., video fluoroscopy, nasendoscopy, stroboscopy, computer-assisted analysis) to evaluate speech, communication, and swallowing functions in alignment with evidence-based practices.
- Deliver a full range of services including prevention, screening, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and follow-up for speech and language disorders across various modalities (oral, written, graphic, and manual).
Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education and Certifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a closely related field from a program accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Completion of at least 18 semester hours in speech pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
- P.L.A.Y project certified or must obtain certification within 60 days of hire.
- Must have a current, full, active, and unrestricted license
- Travel
- Frequent local travel (within a 40-mile radius) required; one week per month for implementation of the P.L.A.Y. Project at remote sites
