Licensed Occupational Therapist
Coho Integrated Solutions is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Licensed Occupational Therapist to provide exceptional behavioral health services at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. In this vital role, you will work with active-duty military personnel and their families to assess, treat, and support individuals across a range of developmental and functional needs.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Conduct intake interviews with parents and caregivers, building supportive relationships and linking families to appropriate services.
- Administer standardized developmental assessments, including the FEAS, CARS, Greenspan Social-Emotional Growth Chart, and REEL.
- Design and implement individualized P.L.A.Y. Project plans using a parent-mediated approach, incorporating evidence-based techniques and methods.
- Complete follow-up assessments, track patient progress, and prepare video and written feedback reports.
- Use telehealth tools (telephone and secure messaging) to manage ongoing communication with patients and staff for coordinated care.
- Deliver a full scope of occupational therapy services in accordance with the clinical privileges authorized by the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
- Evaluate and treat impairments in occupational performance components, including motor, neuromusculoskeletal, cognitive, social, and psychological dysfunction.
- Utilize a variety of treatment methods, including therapeutic exercises, group-based interventions, physical agent modalities, and fabrication of temporary orthotics, splints, and adaptive equipment.
- Provide education and training on health promotion, disease/injury prevention, and psychological stress management.
- Administer, score, and interpret occupational therapy evaluations and assessment tools.
- Develop collaborative intervention plans, including clearly defined goals and treatment strategies.
- Monitor patient response, reassess progress, and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members both verbally and in writing.
- Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as needed.
Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education and Certifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited occupational therapy program (or predecessor organization), including successful completion of at least six months of clinical internship.
- Certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Coursework in specialty areas such as Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS) is preferred.
- P.L.A.Y project certified or must obtain certification within 60 days of hire.
- Must have a current, full, active, and unrestricted license
- Travel
- Frequent local travel (within a 40-mile radius) required; one week per month for implementation of the P.L.A.Y. Project at remote sites
