We are seeking a Family Law Legal Paraprofessional to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in delivering unparalleled legal counsel and embodying our commitment to advocacy and client empowerment.

 

What You’ll Do

• Legal Advocacy: Represent clients in permitted legal matters, including court proceedings, negotiations, and mediations, in accordance with Arizona and Michigan regulations for Legal Paraprofessionals, with a focus on Family Law, Criminal Defense, or Personal Injury.
• Client Engagement: Develop strong, trust-based relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication and legal strategies tailored to their needs.
• Case Management: Independently manage assigned cases, including drafting legal documents (pleadings, motions, contracts), conducting legal research, and ensuring procedural compliance.
• Collaboration: Work alongside attorneys and legal staff on complex matters, referring cases outside LP authority to licensed attorneys as needed.
• Community Impact: Support firm initiatives that enhance legal accessibility, community education, and outreach efforts in Arizona and Michigan.

 

What We’re Looking For

• Education & Experience:
• Legal Paraprofessional (LP) license in good standing with the Arizona State Supreme Court.
• At least 2+ years of experience in Family Law is required. While experience in Criminal Defense (DUI) or Personal Injury may be considered, we are particularly seeking candidates with a strong background in Family Law, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and parenting plans.
• A bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Legal Studies, Criminal Justice) is preferred but not required.
• Skills & Abilities:
• Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proven experience managing cases from intake to resolution.
• Proficiency with legal practice management software and tools.
