At Keller Swan Injury Attorneys, a dynamic legal powerhouse formed from the merger of KMW Legal and Swan Law in 2024, we are dedicated to providing exceptional legal services across multiple states, including Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Our firm specializes in Personal Injury, Property Damage, Workers’ Compensation, Wrongful Death, and Criminal Defense, with a mission to combine legal expertise with compassion, making a positive impact in the lives of our clients.

Now scaling toward $10M+, Keller Swan Injury Attorneys is seeking a seasoned, growth-oriented Chief Operating Officer (COO) to help define what comes next. This isn’t a role for a caretaker—it’s a game-changing leadership position for a high-level strategist who can bring clarity to chaos, support department heads, and architect the internal systems needed to sustain profitability and expansion. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will guide and unify all operational teams—including Pre-Litigation, Litigation, HR, Finance, Admin, and Marketing—to ensure alignment, accountability, and organizational excellence.

As COO, you’ll be the firm’s integrator, weaving together departments into a cohesive, high-performing machine. You’ll take ownership of existing KPIs, refine performance dashboards, implement individual accountability systems, and strengthen the infrastructure needed to support 200+ new cases per month across multiple states. Your expertise in operations, finance, and HR will directly influence the firm’s margins, efficiency, and trajectory—making this role pivotal to Keller Swan’s continued success.

What you’ll do:

  • Strategic Growth Leadership: Step in as the high-level strategist the firm has long needed — bringing clarity to complexity, turning operational chaos into alignment, and driving Keller Swan into its next stage of growth. Drive the firm’s growth, taking full ownership of scaling infrastructure, identifying gaps, and leading the charge toward operational excellence and revenue expansion.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and oversee all operational teams, ensuring smooth alignment across the organization. Act as the operational right hand to the CEO, driving collaboration, accountability, and firm-wide cohesion.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement across all operational processes, identifying inefficiencies, clearing bottlenecks, and strengthening collaboration to support scalable growth.
  • Organizational Scaling: Design and implement the systems, structures, and workflows needed to support growing case volume and multi-state expansion, setting the firm up for sustainable, long-term success.
  • KPI Development & Accountability: Take ownership of the firm's performance framework, enhancing existing KPIs and driving new initiatives like individual accountability metrics to fuel growth, efficiency, and excellence.
  • Financial Oversight: Own firm-wide profitability and revenue growth, building on existing case capacity models, revenue projections, and financial systems. Success in this role is measured by the firm’s revenue growth and improved profit margins.
  • HR Strategy: Oversee and guide the firm’s high-level HR strategy, including benefits, retirement plans, team development, and organizational culture initiatives.
  • Risk & Compliance Management: Oversee all commercial, liability, and malpractice insurance renewals, while ensuring operational compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standards as the firm scales.
  • Culture Building: Reinforce Keller Swan’s culture of collaboration, transparency, and high performance across remote and in-office teams.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience: 10+ years in operations leadership within high-volume service businesses, with 3–5 years in a C-suite or VP-level role. Experience in the legal industry or a law firm setting is preferred but not required.
  • High-Volume Experience: You’ve led teams of 100+ and managed operations at $10M+ in revenue, building accountability structures that thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Scaling Expertise: Proven track record of helping companies grow from $5M to $10M+ in revenue, including designing the systems and team structures that made that growth possible.
  • Operational Strength: Deep expertise in operations, with a proven ability to drive systems thinking, cross-team process improvements, and organizational alignment.
  • Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, margin protection, and cost-efficiency.
  • HR Savvy: Familiarity with HR structures, compliance, benefits, and strategic workforce planning.
  • Leadership Qualities: You’re respected by teams, not feared. You create accountability without micromanagement and can coach directors to lead better.
  • Strategic Thinker: You anticipate problems, not just react to them. You bring solutions before we realize there’s an issue.

Why you should work here:

  • Growth Phase Momentum: Be part of this exciting and pivotal growth phase, joining a dynamic, high-performing organization as it expands across multiple states and reaches new revenue milestones.
  • High-Impact Leadership: Step into a pivotal leadership role where your ideas, decisions, and strategies will directly shape the firm’s growth, operations, and future success. This is an opportunity to truly take ownership, drive change, and leave a lasting legacy.
  • Empowering Culture: Be part of a cohesive team that values collaboration and treats each member as part of a chosen family.
  • Health and Wellness Focus: Engage in a work environment that prioritizes health and wellness, aligning with personal values of well-being.

Additional perks:

  • Health Insurance: Enjoy comprehensive, employer-paid health insurance that supports your well-being and peace of mind.
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan: Plan confidently for the future with access to a competitive retirement savings program and employer contributions.
  • Incentives and Bonuses: Receive performance-based incentives and year-end bonuses as recognition of your contributions.
  • Paid Time Off and Holidays: Take time to rest, recharge, and take care of what matters most with generous PTO and firm-observed holidays.
  • Flexible Work Environment: Thrive in a flexible, easygoing environment with opportunities for hybrid work after your initial onboarding period.
  • Community Engagement: Participate in community and networking events throughout the year, fostering connections and growth.

At Keller Swan Injury Attorneys, this role isn’t just about managing departments—it’s about scaling an entire firm. Your impact will be felt in every client case, every new hire, and every dollar earned or saved. If you’re ready to take a high-performing firm to its next level, and build something that lasts, this is your moment.

Join us—and help write the next chapter of Keller Swan’s success story.
