To support our continued growth and elevate our internal operations, we’re seeking a Director of Operations. As the strategic engine behind Gordon Law Group, this role is essential to building the systems, structure, and accountability that drive the firm forward. Reporting directly to firm leadership, the Director of Operations will bring clarity to our processes, empower our team across multiple locations, and ensure that our legal and administrative functions operate at peak efficiency.

The impact of this role won’t just be felt internally — it will shape the client experience and position the firm for long-term success.

What you’ll do:

  • SOP Creation & Implementation: Implement and enforce SOPs to standardize operations across all locations. Conduct audits to assess systems, identify gaps, and recommend improvements. Establish recurring check-ins with leadership to ensure alignment. Build scalable frameworks to support firm growth.
  • KPI Development & Performance Tracking: Develop, track, and report on KPIs to drive accountability and performance. Identify key operational metrics across departments. Use data to guide decisions, monitor trends, and optimize outcomes.
  • Marketing & Intake Efficiency: Collaborate with leadership to execute marketing initiatives and improve ROI. Optimize intake workflows and follow-up systems to boost conversions. Align teams through shared SOPs and seamless client handoffs.
  • Onboarding & Team Enablement: Design onboarding processes to speed up new hire ramp-up. Implement evaluation and promotion frameworks. Support role clarity, training consistency, and cross-functional collaboration to improve retention.
  • Financial Oversight & Forecasting: Manage receivables and support financial tracking and planning. Lead forecasting to inform decisions. Oversee vendor contracts and implement systems for cash flow, budgeting, and collections. Assess profitability by service area.
  • Technology & Systems Management: Oversee usability of Lawmatics, Clio, and other tools. Ensure smooth implementation and staff adoption. Improve systems through automation, training, and ongoing optimization.
  • Project Management: Lead high-impact projects aimed at enhancing client service and overall profitability. Monitor project outcomes to ensure ROI and oversee implementation follow-up to ensure successful execution.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience: 3–5+ years in an operations leadership role within a fast-paced professional services environment (legal, medical, financial, etc.), with a strong foundation in system-building, process implementation, and team management.
  • Operations Leadership: Proven ability to lead firm-wide operational improvements by designing, implementing, and enforcing SOPs that bring structure, consistency, and scalability across multiple locations.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to assess complex challenges, anticipate issues, and develop solutions that drive firm-wide performance. Skilled at turning high-level goals into actionable, efficient strategies.
  • KPI & Performance Management: Experience developing and managing performance metrics that provide visibility into key operational functions—such as intake, receivables, and staffing—while using data to inform decision-making and drive accountability.
  • Team Development: A track record of building onboarding systems, evaluation processes, and promotion pathways that foster clarity, growth, and retention across teams in a high-performance environment.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Ability to partner closely with firm leadership to support marketing initiatives, oversee execution, and evaluate impact through performance metrics and ROI tracking.
  • Financial Acumen: Skilled in overseeing receivables, assisting with forecasting, and building reporting systems that enhance financial clarity and support informed strategic planning.
  • Tech-Savviness: Comfortable learning, managing, and improving legal operations software such as Lawmatics and Clio, with a focus on driving adoption, usability, and continuous improvement through training and support.

Why you should work here:

  • Shape the Future of the Firm: Play a central role in building systems and processes that fuel growth and long-term success. You won’t just manage — you’ll architect the operational foundation across three locations.
  • Make an Immediate Impact: Step into a firm ready for structure and accountability. From day one, your leadership will influence how the team operates, how success is measured, and how new hires are onboarded.
  • Work Closely with Visionary Leaders: Collaborate with leaders who are clear on the firm’s mission and need a strong implementor to bring it to life. If you thrive on turning vision into execution, this is your seat at the table.
  • Career Growth & Autonomy: This is a true leadership role with room to grow. You’ll shape systems, strategy, and team development — and propose your own incentive structure after 90 days.
  • Work/Life Balance & Flexibility: The firm offers PTO, holiday pay, and a flexible culture that supports balance without sacrificing performance.
  • Be Part of a Team That Cares: Join a small, collaborative team where each person matters and the shared focus is on serving clients well and working smarter together.

Additional perks:

  • Health, Dental & Vision Coverage: Comprehensive insurance options are available for full-time employees, giving you the flexibility to opt in based on your needs.
  • Paid Time Off: The firm offers a structured PTO plan that increases with tenure, plus paid holidays throughout the year to support work/life balance.
  • Incentive Potential: After your initial onboarding period, you’ll have the opportunity to propose a performance-based incentive structure tailored to your role.
  • 401(k) Planning: The firm is in the process of rolling out a 401(k) plan, with this role positioned to support and help shape that implementation.
  • Firm Flexibility: While the team values accountability and on-site collaboration, the firm maintains a flexible, understanding culture that prioritizes trust and professional respect.

If you're looking for a role where you can coast, this isn't it. We move fast, think big, and expect excellence. Building something meaningful takes drive, focus, and follow-through — and we're all in. We're not looking for average. We're building a firm that lasts.
