At Peterson & Associates, P.C., we pride ourselves on being a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to securing justice for individuals who have suffered due to the negligence of others. With decades of experience, we have built a reputation for delivering exceptional results, recovering millions of dollars for our clients, and fighting tirelessly to ensure their voices are heard. Our commitment to excellence extends beyond the courtroom, with a deep focus on client care and community involvement.
Based in Kansas City, our firm handles complex personal injury cases ranging from catastrophic injuries and wrongful death to defective medical devices and product liability. Our firm was founded with one goal in mind: to advocate for the injured. Our results-driven approach, combined with a dedication to personalized service, has solidified our position as a trusted advocate for justice.
At Peterson & Associates, the Technology Operations Analyst is the engine behind our internal systems transformation. This role is responsible for bringing clarity, consistency, and innovation to our technology infrastructure — ensuring our platforms, automations, and data pipelines are not only functional but actively fueling firm-wide performance and decision-making. From platform integrations and automation builds to reporting dashboards and vendor coordination, this role requires both big-picture systems thinking and in-the-weeds execution.
In this capacity, you’re more than an analyst — you are the firm’s operational nerve center for all things tech. You will help us fully leverage powerful platforms like Filevine and Domo, own our system integrations, and ensure we’re maximizing every tool we invest in. Your insights, technical skills, and follow-through will be critical in supporting our legal teams, scaling our infrastructure, and building a future-ready law firm.
What you’ll do:
System Integration & Automation:
- Take ownership of building and maintaining integrations across firm platforms (e.g. Filevine, Domo, CRM systems) to automate and streamline operations.
- Lead internal efforts to fully utilize Filevine’s functionality, including building workflows, as well as developing systems that support case tracking, reporting, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and manage custom automations to reduce manual work and increase operational consistency.
- Conduct periodic audits of systems and workflows to identify inefficiencies, underutilized features, and opportunities for optimization.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Own Domo setup, administration, and dashboard development — pulling in data, ensuring cleanliness, and structuring insights for leadership visibility.
- Build self-serve reporting tools across departments (legal, intake, finance, marketing), enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Monitor firm KPIs, forecast operational outcomes, and identify insights, anomalies, and opportunities before they’re requested.
- Maintain a clean, standardized data architecture and ensure consistent definitions of KPIs and metrics across teams.
Vendor & Platform Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact with external vendors (Filevine, Domo, outsourced IT, etc.), ensuring clear communication, timely execution, and alignment with firm objectives.
- Oversee vendor performance, track integration timelines, and manage escalations or technical issues as needed.
- Partner with leadership to make strategic technology decisions — including cybersecurity, storage, server lifecycle, and infrastructure modernization.
Team Collaboration & Enablement:
- Support attorneys and staff with system adoption by providing documentation, training, and day-to-day troubleshooting.
- Translate non-technical user needs into clear technical solutions, ensuring requests are scoped, prioritized, and delivered efficiently.
- Foster cross-functional alignment by creating shared visibility into platform capabilities, performance metrics, and system improvements.
- Champion a culture of tech enablement across the firm—ensuring tools are not just available, but actually used effectively.
Technology & Infrastructure Leadership:
- Coordinate with outsourced IT to manage firm hardware (setup, maintenance, replacement cycles) and ensure secure data infrastructure.
- Advise leadership on best practices for cybersecurity, system scalability, and long-term technology investments.
- Own tech-related projects from start to finish — managing timelines, updates, testing, and documentation.
- Serve as the go-to problem-solver for all tech-related needs across the firm, with a mindset of high accountability and no loose ends.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience: 4–5+ years in technology operations, systems integration, or analytics. Law firm or professional services experience preferred.
- Domo Expertise: Certified or highly experienced in Domo. Proven ability to manage data sources, develop dashboards, and drive adoption.
- Systems Integration Proficiency: Deep familiarity with platforms like Filevine or equivalent legal tech tools. Hands-on experience with APIs, automation platforms (e.g. Zapier), and CRM workflows.
- Analytical & Technical Skills: Working knowledge of SQL, Python (or other scripting languages), and data visualization best practices. Ability to connect technical data with business objectives.
- Execution Ownership: A self-starter who takes full ownership of tasks from discovery to delivery — with strong follow-through, documentation, and communication.
- Problem Solving & Communication: Excellent critical thinking, with a proactive attitude toward obstacles. Confident speaking with vendors, resolving ambiguity, and initiating conversations across the team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to interface with attorneys, paralegals, support staff, and leadership to gather needs and translate them into systems that work.
Why you should work here:
- Impactful Work: Your contributions at Peterson & Associates, P.C. go beyond supporting operations; you play a pivotal role in enabling a team that advocates for justice and helps clients rebuild their lives.
- Be Part of a Trusted Legal Team: Join a firm with a reputation for securing significant results in personal injury cases and making a meaningful difference in clients’ lives.
- Growth and Career Advancement: For the right person who takes ownership of this role and demonstrates great success, there are opportunities for career growth and advancement within the firm.
Additional perks:
- Paid Time Off: Enjoy paid time off to rest and recharge, offering a balance between work and personal time to focus on what matters most.
- Health Insurance: Enjoy employer contributions toward United Healthcare premiums, with coverage options for your spouse and dependents.
- Vision and Dental Insurance: Vision and dental plans are available to help you maintain your overall health and well-being.
At Peterson & Associates, P.C., the role of Technology Operations Analyst is your opportunity to be more than just a builder of dashboards or manager of systems — you are the architect of our digital operations, the bridge between data and decisions, and the driver of our firm’s future-ready growth. Your expertise ensures that our tools don’t just exist — they perform, connect, and serve our mission of delivering justice with impact.
This is your chance to take full ownership of a firm-wide initiative, to be trusted as the in-house expert on every major tech decision, and to shape the future of legal operations from the inside out. If you’re ready to lead, build, and drive meaningful change — join us.
