Kanner & Pintaluga isn’t just another law firm, it’s one of the fastest-growing personal injury and property damage firms in the Southeast, with nearly 100 attorneys across 35+ offices. Since 2003, the firm has built its reputation on being aggressive, ethical, and client-focused, fighting tirelessly for individuals and families against insurance companies and corporations. With a state-of-the-art mock courtroom, 24/7 availability, and a deep commitment to accessibility (including Spanish-language services), Kanner & Pintaluga has become a trusted advocate for those seeking justice after life-changing events.

With that in mind, we are seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our Atlanta office. As the dedicated right hand to a Senior Trial Attorney, you will play a critical role in managing a high-volume personal injury docket and keeping complex cases on track from intake through trial. This position isn’t just about handling documents or scheduling, it’s about becoming an integral part of a trial team, ensuring our clients’ cases are prepared with precision, and contributing directly to the outcomes that define our reputation.

What you’ll do:

  • Attorney Support: Partner directly with a Senior Trial Attorney (1:1) on a demanding personal injury plaintiff litigation docket (~40-45 active files). Anticipate attorney needs, stay ahead of deadlines, and act as a reliable right hand throughout every stage of litigation.
  • Calendar Management: Take full ownership of attorney and case calendars by scheduling depositions, mediations, hearings, pre-deps, and meetings. Proactively coordinate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel to prevent conflicts and keep cases moving forward without delay.
  • Drafting & Filing: Independently draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and affidavits. Handle all aspects of e-filing in Georgia’s courts (federal experience a plus), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with court requirements.
  • Discovery Oversight: Manage discovery from start to finish, including monitoring deadlines, organizing document production, and issuing subpoenas. Review and track responses carefully to identify issues early and keep attorneys fully informed.
  • Trial & Mediation Prep: Prepare attorneys for mediations, hearings, and trial by assembling exhibits, drafting witness summaries, and organizing case binders. Ensure everything needed for negotiations or courtroom proceedings is ready, accurate, and at their fingertips.
  • File & Document Management: Maintain organized, accessible case files using Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe. Follow established naming conventions and document procedures to ensure consistency across the litigation team.
  • Client Communication: Serve as a steady point of contact for clients, provide updates, gather information, and help them navigate the litigation process. Balance professionalism with empathy to keep clients informed and supported during stressful times.
  • Correspondence & Coordination: Draft and send correspondence to clients, courts, and opposing counsel via email, regular mail, or certified mail. Arrange court calls or Zoom hearings, and coordinate with outside vendors and experts as needed.
  • Case Intake & Fact-Finding: Support new case intake by collecting and reviewing key information, conducting fact-finding projects, and ensuring all documentation is complete. Help attorneys enter litigation fully prepared from day one.

What we’re looking for:

  • Litigation Experience: 3–5 years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience required; additional experience (7+ years) is highly valued. Trial prep experience strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Georgia e-filing (federal e-filing a plus), with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Bilingual Ability: Spanish fluency strongly preferred
  • Organizational Strength: Ability to juggle 40+ active cases while tracking multiple deadlines, filings, and client communications without letting details slip.
  • Communication Skills: Clear, professional communicator who can update clients, coordinate with courts, and collaborate with attorneys confidently and effectively.
  • Accountability & Initiative: Self-directed professional who takes ownership of tasks, delivers on time, and escalates issues proactively rather than waiting for direction.
  • Team Fit: Dependable, collaborative, and steady under pressure. Thrives in a hands-off, results-driven environment where expectations are high but micromanagement is low.

Why you should work here:

  • Autonomy with Trust: Work directly with a senior trial attorney who values outcomes over micromanagement. You’ll be trusted to run your role, own your deadlines, and deliver results.
  • Skill Growth: Deepen your expertise in personal injury litigation, from discovery to trial prep, while learning firm-specific best practices and trial team strategy.
  • Professional Development: Access the firm’s structured onboarding and training support, plus opportunities to attend workshops that sharpen your client-facing and operational skills.
  • Clear Path Forward: For high performers, this role provides room to take on more responsibility over time and advance as the litigation team continues to grow.
  • Meaningful Work: Play a critical role in helping injured clients pursue justice while building strong professional relationships and expanding your litigation knowledge base.

Additional perks:

  • Paid Time Off: Generous PTO, plus paid holidays, bereavement, and sick time.
  • Retirement Savings: 401(k) plan with firm match to help you plan for the future.
  • Health Coverage: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans for you and your family.
  • Supplemental Benefits: Employer-covered core benefits, with additional voluntary options available.
  • Performance Reviews: Annual evaluations that recognize your contributions and create opportunities for growth.

If you’re looking for an easy, low-effort role, this isn’t it. At Kanner & Pintaluga, we give our all to every client and every case. Excellence here comes from preparation, discipline, and accountability, and we expect the same from our team. If you’re ready to bring focus, reliability, and passion to a trial team that fights hard for its clients, this is the place for you.
