- People Management Support: Serve as a resource for leadership and managers handling sensitive employee conversations, performance issues, and coaching, easing the emotional burden on senior leaders.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential legal risks related to HR practices and implement strategies to mitigate them, including timely escalation to outside counsel when necessary.
- HR Policy Development: Craft and maintain HR policies and procedures aligned with the firm’s values, ensuring clarity and transparency in all employee-related matters.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with firm leadership and operations to ensure people processes, documentation, and accountability systems are consistently executed and supported across the organization.
What we’re looking for:
- HR Generalist Experience: Proven track record in building or restructuring HR environments within small to mid-sized, founder-led organizations.
- Emotional Intelligence: Demonstrate calmness, groundedness, and high emotional intelligence, especially when interacting with leadership and handling sensitive issues.
- Leadership & Integrity: Confidently push back on leadership when necessary while maintaining high integrity and follow-through.
- Cultural Compatibility: Comfortable and effective in a Christian-forward environment, supporting the firm's faith-based culture and values.
- Risk Management Skill: Experience in identifying and managing HR-related legal risks, ensuring consistent documentation, and strategic escalation.
Why you should work here:
- Impactful Role: Be at the forefront of transforming Thaler Law’s HR landscape, making a significant internal impact that aligns with the firm's mission.
- Growth & Learning: Lead the establishment of critical HR functions and structures, gaining invaluable experience in a supportive legal environment.
- Direct Leadership Access: Work closely with firm leadership, providing strategic advice and support, ensuring HR initiatives align with business goals.
- Faith-Forward Culture: Engage in a values-driven workplace where Christian principles guide both operational and legal practices, fostering a supportive community.
