The Medicaid Coordinator role at PB Elder Law is pivotal to maintaining our commitment to providing exceptional client service and empowering families. This position exists to manage the soaring caseloads efficiently and to ensure clients successfully navigate the Medicaid application process. As a Medicaid Coordinator, you will directly impact our clients’ futures by providing crucial support in qualifying them for benefits, safeguarding their financial health, and alleviating their worry through proficient and compassionate service.

 

 

What you’ll do:

  • Workflow Management: Oversee the entire Medicaid application process, from initial client intake to final submission.
  • Financial Documentation: Collect and analyze financial records, ensuring all necessary documentation is tracked and correctly prepared to meet Medicaid requirements.
  • Transaction Analysis: Utilize Excel to track and analyze transactions over $1,000, documenting and reconciling financial activities to prevent penalties.
  • Client Interaction: Proactively engage with elderly clients and their families, offering clear communication and support throughout the Medicaid application process.
  • Department Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Medicaid department director and other team members to enhance efficiency and address complex cases.
  • Deadline Handling: Manage multiple files concurrently, adhering to strict regulatory timeframes and adjusting to shifting deadlines as necessary.
  • Follow-Up: Respond to requests from the Department of Social Services in a timely manner, ensuring all additional information is provided by deadlines.


What we’re looking for: 

  • Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of banking and financial processes, with proficiency in Excel.
  • Client Communication: Clear, patient communicator who prefers phone calls to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptionally organized, able to maintain precise records, and adhere to strict documentation standards.
  • Medicaid Experience: Familiarity with Medicaid regulations and the application process is preferred, though experience in retail banking or similar fields is advantageous.
  • Problem Solver: Capable of managing deadlines under pressure, with a proactive approach to tracking and adjusting priorities.
