The Director of Human Resources at Demand The Limits will play a pivotal role in strengthening our organizational infrastructure as we continue to grow. This position is critical for developing and implementing effective HR strategies that foster a positive, efficient workplace while adapting to the evolving needs of our expanding firm. The Director will support our mission by ensuring that our people practices align with our core values and contribute to achieving our strategic goals.
What you’ll do:
- HR Leadership: Own and lead the daily HR functions, including systems management and HR administration across the organization.
- Talent Acquisition: Initially own and support active recruiting needs while learning the organization. As the HR function evolves, help identify, hire, and develop dedicated recruiting support so that day-to-day talent acquisition can transition appropriately while remaining under HR leadership.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with HR vendors and oversee benefits administration including medical, dental, and retirement plans.
- Performance Management: Lead the performance review process, ensuring timely and constructive evaluations across the firm.
- Employee Relations: Act as a trusted resource for employees at all levels, addressing concerns and mediating conflicts.
- Culture Building: Embed and reinforce our core values throughout all HR activities, fostering an inclusive and motivated workplace.
- Strategic Development: Partner with executive leadership to guide the people strategy, ensuring scalability and continuous improvement.
- Location Support: Regularly travel between Boca Raton and Orlando offices to maintain a visible presence and support multi-location operations.
What we’re looking for:
- HR Experience: Minimum of 10 years in HR, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred for enhanced credibility.
- Certification: PHR/SPHR preferred, enhancing professional knowledge and credibility.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in legal or high-performance environments, adept at navigating strong personalities and high accountability.
- Cultural Fit: Strong alignment with firm values, including a growth mindset and integrity-driven results.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS, familiar with platforms like Paylocity, and experience with recruiting tools like LinkedIn and Indeed.
- Personal Traits: Highly proactive, trustworthy, and personable with a proven ability to build relationships at all levels. Adaptable to diverse and dynamic environments.
- Grit and Resilience: Demonstrated resilience and tenacity in demanding work settings, comfortable under pressure.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of how HR decisions affect financial performance, productivity, risk, operations, and other departments. Able to balance employee needs with the broader interests and goals of the business.
