Campaign Engineer
CM seeks a Campaign Engineer (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) to join our team. This role focuses on audience management, handling production launches, monitoring deliverability, overseeing automated campaigns, and executing a process for proofing campaign variations before launch. The ideal candidate will have experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud in an agency or other professional services environment.
You will
- Develop and manage audience segments using Salesforce Marketing Cloud tools, including Data Extensions, SQL queries and Journey entry/exit criteria. Ensure accurate and relevant audience targeting based on campaign objectives and customer data.
- Manage data extensions, queries, A/B testing, and Test/Control groups.
- Develop and execute a process for delivering “proofs” of every campaign touch variation to internal (agency) and external (client) stakeholders. Follow agency best practices. Develop campaign test data and maintain proofing lists.
- Oversee the deployment of marketing campaigns, ensuring timely and successful launches. Monitor campaign performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise during deployment.
- Manage Email Channel configuration (SPF, DKIM, DMARC). Ensure proper use of Sender Profiles (marketing or transactional). Manage Sender Reputation (consistent sending patterns, feedback from ISPs). Experience with a deliverability platform like Validity is a plus.
- Set up and manage triggered sends to automate real-time responses based on customer actions.
- Generate campaign performance reports to monitor operations. Track key metrics, including open, click-through, and conversion rates, to measure campaign success.
- Work closely with internal teams (strategists, designers, account leads, and project managers) to understand requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure successful project delivery.
You have
- Advanced English level (B2+ at least)
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role. Proven track record of successfully managing and launching marketing campaigns. Proficiency with Email Studio, Journey Builder, and Automation Studio.
- Proficiently managing and integrating data with data extensions.
- Experience managing multiple tasks simultaneously and ensuring timely delivery.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
