Senior Designer

San Jose

The Senior Designer is a master of her/his design craft, and is responsible for the execution of complex visual design deliverables and under the Design Lead supervision, leads the successful implementation of design solutions for marketing/communication campaigns and digital experiences that benefit people and clients. By creating design deliverables and solutions that align strategic direction and user needs, providing support and guidance to other team members, having passion for design and keeping high standards, the Senior Designer plays a key role on project success, client satisfaction and strengthening our creative culture.


You will:

  • Designs solutions that meet or exceed strategic objectives in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Creates storyboards, mood-boards, initial visual concepts, design layouts, functional design solutions, site grids and UI demos to lead design project development.
  • Leads visual design projects with Design Lead supervision in the following areas: Print, Marketing Campaign, Social Media, Motion and Illustration.
  • Understands, analyses, and responds to client briefs and requests.
  • Works closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented.
  • Actively participates in strategic brainstorming, design thinking and collaboration sessions, and creative brief development.
  • Thinks creatively and justifies concepts to clients and team members.
  • Understands and applies the design thinking cycle to projects when is appropriate.
  • Builds and maintains a rapport with department team members, project managers and other disciplines key team members.
  • Stays up to date with recent design trends and new technologies.

You have: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design Advertising Design or related field or equivalent experience in advertising and/or digital agencies or startups.
  • 3+ yrs. experience in advertising agencies, digital agencies, design agencies, and/or startups.
  • Strong design portfolio including pieces for international clients.
  • Experience in at least 3 of these areas: print, visual design, digital marketing, social media, illustration and motion areas, preferably for international clients and global brands.
  • Solid understanding of visual design principles, trends, systems, and systems.
  • Understanding of digital marketing, online advertising and business strategy concepts.
  • Experience creating user interfaces for digital products.
  • Extensive knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Solid knowledge in Figma (prototype).
  • Solid understanding of UX UI type product design.
  • Knowledge of systems design frameworks such as Material Design and Human Interface Guidelines.
  • Solid knowledge of Keynote, PowerPoint, After Effects.
  • Knowledge of productivity tools: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), remote collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom, Drive, Box, Paper, Evernote) and workflow management tools (Jira, Trello, Asana, Basecamp)

Is not required, but a must: 

  • Experience with motion design to bring ideas to life with dynamic visuals.
  • Basic understanding of tokenization concepts for future-forward projects.
  • Familiarity with AI prompting to explore creative possibilities with emerging tools
