Marketing Science, Analyst - Media
Role:
As a Media Analyst, you will support the measurement, reporting, and analysis of paid media campaigns, helping teams understand performance and identify opportunities to optimize media investments.
You will partner closely with media, strategy, and account teams to translate campaign objectives into measurable KPIs, monitor performance across channels, and turn data into clear, actionable insights. You will play a key role in ensuring reporting is accurate, consistent, and focused on the metrics that matter most to campaign and business objectives.
This role connects media performance to broader marketing goals by identifying trends, evaluating campaign effectiveness, supporting test-and-learn initiatives, and helping teams make data-informed optimization decisions.
You will:
Media Measurement & Performance
- Support the development and maintenance of measurement frameworks that connect campaign objectives, media tactics, and KPIs.
- Analyze campaign performance across paid media channels, including paid search, paid social, display, programmatic, online video, and other digital media.
- Monitor performance against campaign goals, benchmarks, and historical results.
- Identify performance trends, opportunities, and areas requiring further investigation.
- Partner with media teams to provide actionable optimization recommendations.
- Help establish campaign benchmarks and baselines using historical performance data
Reporting & Insights
- Develop recurring campaign performance reports and dashboards across media channels.
- Translate media data into clear insights, implications, and recommended actions.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and campaign recap reporting, including Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Analyze performance by channel, campaign, audience, creative, placement, format, and other relevant dimensions.
- Develop concise performance narratives that help stakeholders understand what happened, why it happened, and what we should do next.
- Provide creative and media optimization insights based on campaign performance
Data & Dashboards
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that provide visibility into campaign performance.
- Work with data from media platforms, ad servers, web analytics platforms, and third-party measurement partners.
- Perform ongoing data QA to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
- Investigate data discrepancies and partner with appropriate teams to resolve tracking or reporting issues.
- Ensure campaign taxonomy and naming conventions are accurately reflected across reporting.
Collaboration
- Partner closely with media planners, buyers, account teams, strategists, and analytics stakeholders.
- Participate in campaign planning discussions to ensure measurement considerations are incorporated from the beginning.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support senior analytics team members on larger measurement initiatives and ad hoc analyses.
- Contribute analytics and media performance insights to presentations, proposals, and client deliverables.
You have:
- B.S. degree in a quantitative or technical field (Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, etc.)
- 3–5 years of experience leading analytics deliverables in media marketing science, ideally within B2B contexts.
- Experience analyzing performance across digital media channels such as paid search, paid social, programmatic display, online video, and/or connected TV.
- Strong understanding of common media metrics, including impressions, reach, frequency, CPM, CTR, CPC, video completion rate, conversion rate, CPA, and ROAS.
- Experience working with media platforms and reporting data from platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, DSPs, or ad servers.
- Experience with web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and experience working with large datasets.
- Experience with data visualization and dashboarding platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio, or similar tools.
- Ability to identify trends within complex datasets and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain analytical findings to non-technical audiences.
- Working knowledge of SQL or other analytical tools is a plus.
- Experience with B2B media, CRM, account-based marketing, or lead-generation campaigns is a plus.
