Area Growth Representative (NYC)

New York, New York

Location: New York, New York

About the Role

We are looking for an Area Growth Representative who will drive sales in their assigned territory by meeting two key objectives: increase the number of new locations stocking Crocodile Products and increase sales velocity at locations that are already stocking Crocodile Products. You will work in partnership with a Regional Growth Support Associate to schedule in-person site visits with the goal of gaining new stocking locations. These appointments will be supplemented with stop-ins at existing stocking locations. At these locations, you will engage with store and branch personnel, build relationships, secure preferential placement, and ensure Crocodile Products are appropriately stocked and merchandised. Initially, the role will be split 70% toward new account acquisition and converting locations to stock Crocodile Products and 30% merchandising existing stocking locations. Over time as more accounts are converted to stocking Crocodile Products, this weighting will shift more toward merchandising activities, along with continuing to upsell at every visit, add off-shelf displays, and ensure the product doesn’t stop being a stocking location.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • New Account Acquisition
  • Identify and target small businesses, such as electrical supply houses, lumber yards, hardware stores and local grocery store chains that are not established accounts for Crocodile Products.
  • This excludes Home Depot, Walmart, Costco, and other Nationally Planogrammed Accounts [NPA].
  • Actively pursue and close new accounts in the territory through in-person visits.
  • Achieve monthly target for new stocking locations added.
  • Account Handover
  • Once a new account is identified and qualified, transition the account to the designated Regional Growth Support Associate or Account Management team member to close and win the opportunity.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation and customer details are passed along for smooth account handoff.
  • In some instances, you may maintain direct responsibility of the account depending on whether decisions are made and whether a corporate buying office is involved.
  • Converting Locations to Stocking Locations
  • Convert non-stocking locations where the product is set up nationally but not stocked locally to stocking locations. This would include Ace Hardware, Napa, City Electric, and similar accounts.
  • Merchandising, Upselling & Maintaining at Existing Stocking Locations
  • Maintain stock of product samples and POP material in storage facility to ensure territory can be serviced appropriately.
  • Use selling and negotiating skills to secure off-shelf display support and ensure proper merchandising of Crocodile Products.
  • Ensure the account stays a location stocking Crocodile Products, and that store managers are Crocodile Products fanatics through free samples, promos, etc.
  • Ensure proper execution of promotions planned at HQ level.
  • Perform demos and attend in-store events to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and create Crocodile Product fanatics.
  • Reporting and Metrics
  • Log daily sales activities, account signings, and progress toward monthly/quarterly goals in Salesforce.
  • Regularly report on pipeline activity and new account conversions.
  • There will also be reports generated to monitor performance at NPAs to ensure these are being serviced effectively.
  • Miscellaneous
  • Support customer events in territory, such as tradeshows, table days, etc.
  • Other supporting tasks and projects to contribute to the growth of the company.
  • You are a representative of Crocodile Products, and as such, we expect you to maintain business appropriate appearance and attire every day. This includes wearing Crocodile Products branded polo shirts or other business-appropriate collared shirt, slacks/khakis, and/or business-appropriate skirt. Hair should be well maintained and look presentable.

Why Join Crocodile Cloth

You’ll have the opportunity to work across a wide range of marketing functions, contribute directly to brand growth, and be part of a team that values high standards, accountability, creativity, and collaboration.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
