Channel Activation Manager (CONTRACTOR)

Introduction on the role: 

This is a Contractor role for 6 months 

As a Channel Activation Manager at Crocs, Inc., based in Hoofddorp, you will play a pivotal role in driving Crocs brand’s growth in direct markets, as well as distributor markets. Reporting to the Director Channel Activation, you will be the key link between the key distributor, retail and wholesale partners and the internal marketing and commercial teams. You will be responsible to co-develop impactful local Marketing plans aligned with Global strategy and meeting local needs. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure operational effectiveness, seasonal planning and execution, tool adoption, budget management, and stakeholder engagement.  

The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial self-starter with a passion for the footwear industry—should have a can-do attitude and be ready to roll up their sleeves while tackling every day with a positive attitude. They are a master of multi-tasking and find joy in having a variety of different projects on the go.  

What will you do? 

Support growth of Distributor markets by developing impactful local Marketing plans: 

  • Support the development and execution of marketing strategies across EMEA markets ensuring timely and quality delivery, as well as alignment with overarching business objectives.   
  • Take ownership of seasonal marketing plans, overseeing implementation and optimizing effectiveness to drive sales and brand growth.   
  • Support distributor teams to develop and execute localized Marketing plans aligned with Global Marketing strategy, fostering collaborative relationships.   
  • Ensures that execution of local Marketing activations is on brand and according to agreed seasonal marketing plan as well as social media and digital activities.   
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new distributor partners through a thorough onboarding process.   
  • Manage budgets & resources for marketing activities. Tracking campaign performance data and identifying areas for improvement.   
  • Monthly reporting to Management about Campaign Results, Marketing Spend Reports, PR Reports, best practices, and insights.   

Wholesale Marketing Channel Activation Planning and Execution: 

  • Establish close working relationships with key wholesale accounts, their commercial managers, and respective merchandising teams.  
  • Manage budgets and key account marketing investments to help sell-in and boost sell-through.  
  • Set up activations with key account partners across digital, retail, influencer, PR, and social integration. Manage the development and execution of the channel programs and marketing activations.  
  • Represent Wholesale Marketing and support Sales in Sell-in and Market Launches.  
  • Ensure alignment of regional marketing strategies with global brand goals.  
  • Measure and optimize activations and communicate with key stakeholders.  

Cross functional collaboration: 

  • Collaborate closely with internal marketing teams as well as key internal & external stakeholders to integrate distributor marketing initiatives seamlessly.   
  • Informs EMEA Integrated Marketing team on relevant local Marketing moments.   
  • Facilitate communication between distributor markets and internal teams, gathering insights and briefing requirements for marketing material development leading to a best-in-class local execution.   
  • Drive synergies and process improvements through effective collaboration with the Commercial Team and other key stakeholders.   
  • Collaborate closely with the Wholesale commercial account managers.  

Who are you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, ideally a master’s in marketing. 
  • Preferably 5-7 years of full-time experience in Marketing with an international brand that operates in multiple channels.  
  • Fashion/Footwear industry experience is a strong plus, international experience. 
  • Priority Setting: Ability to take initiative, work independently and prioritize tasks; strong time-management, organizational and problem-solving skills. 
  • Creativity: Innovative thinking to create engaging and memorable brand activations 
  • Project Management: Skill in managing multiple complex projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.  
  • Budget Management: Understanding of budgeting and financial management related to marketing activities.  
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to navigate changing trends, consumer behaviors, and industry dynamics.   
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify challenges and develop effective solutions.  
  • Proven ability to successfully work in a highly cross-functional matrix environment.  
  • Experience in Wholesale marketing management and/or distributor marketing management is a plus.  
  • Knowledge of international fashion/trends with the ability to translate into commercial concepts.  
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills 
  • Fluent in English 
  • Travel requirement as needed.
