Digital Marketplaces Trading Manager

Introduction on the role:
The Manager of Key Account Marketplaces is responsible for daily trading the 3P business for a Crocs key account. Their work should set up growth orientated pre-season forecasting as well as maximizing in-season selling opportunities. This role will partner with merchandising, demand and supply planning, GTM, marketing and our portfolio of accounts to maximize highest ASP sell-through. The ideal candidate understands the mechanics of effectively working with a 3P business model, loves diving into data to extract trends, and can message clear storylines effectively. This person is a team player who is looking to grow their exposure working cross-functionally across the brand (internal) and customer (external) teams.
Amazon, specifically Amazon Marketplace (3P), expertise is highly valued.
What will you do?
Pre-Season Planning
- Read current and historical trend data to best forecast the future size of opportunities, on SKU-level for the partner. Consider the impact of price and promotional elasticity on future season planning.
- Brief product and merchant teams with opportunities for new and carry-over styles, including color and model trends, to ensure the strongest possible sell-out potential on the partner’s marketplace.
- Present your pre-season buy plans to Digital Leadership in a thorough review, aligned to the strategic growth ambition of the partner for Crocs.
In-Season Trading
- Trade the business in-season by securing inventory on size-level, monitor and adjust pricing, ensure highest possible share of Buy Boxes are won.
- Partner with Outbound (Customer Service and Distribution & Logistics) to manage inventory delivery to the customer. Build and execute a checklist to ensure highest OTIF delivery that is then agreed with the customer.
- Plan a robust go-to-market strategy for mega commercial moments. Strong cross-team alignment with Planning, GTM, Marketing, Merchandising, and Finance required. Influence external stakeholders to ensure strongest possible outcomes.
- Escalate any commercial opportunities or risks through Digital LT with clear and actionable insights.
Data Analysis
- Report weekly trading with a clear narrative around product line, country, and other key product details. Cascade effectively in conjunction with 1P account insights for a total customer picture.
- Leverage on-hand inventory information position from Planning and Merchandising to maximize consumer demand opportunities on existing or substitute SKUs.
- Compile monthly and quarterly hindsight reporting for LT reviews with both internal and external stakeholders.
Who are you?
- University degree in Business Administration
- +4 years in Buying or Planning experience, ideally with a 3P business model
- Proven track record of product planning and trading
- Wholesale experience, ideally digital and with footwear / textiles
- Experience/exposure of start-up organization, scaling international businesses
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end sales process from forecasting to product delivery and sell-through.
- Strong proven skill-set in both pre and in-season planning, buying and trading for the 3P business model.
- Knowledgeable of Amazon, ideally specifically Amazon Marketplace, operating model.
- Effective communicator that clearly articulates qualitative and quantitative insights.
- Exceptional eye for detail in planning and executing daily trading of business.

- Dynamic and adaptable: can quickly and effectively assimilate and drive change
- Fluent in written and spoken English. Additional European language(s) nice-to-have
- Travel required 1-3 trips annually.
