Wholesale Merchandising Manager – Europe

Introduction on the role: 

At Crocs we invite our consumers to Come as You Are. We celebrate individuals, style and comfort, and are breaking new ground in the footwear industry in multiple categories including Clogs, Sandals, Customization as well as high fashion Collaborations. 

As part of the EMEA Merchandising team, your responsibility is to drive the regional wholesale merchandising vision for Crocs. Our company is a fast paced, agile and growth-driven business and as a key part of the Merchandising team, you will be responsible for creating, developing and landing the Product and Merchandising direction for Crocs in our directly operated European markets. 

This role has significant hands-on involvement in Global line selection, consumer trend research, pricing and competitive analysis, assortment creation and support to our Wholesale sales teams in selling the seasonal line as well as engaging with Wholesale (Key) Accounts. 

You will be someone that loves diving into the consumer and product, but also a strong leader who can influence and execute your vision with internal sales partners and regional key accounts. 

What will you do? 

Consumer & Market knowledge 

  • Develop and share expert knowledge of the European consumer and marketplace. 
  • Be the voice of the region in presentations, meetings and conversations both internally and with our Global product and merchandising teams as well as our commercial partners. 
  • Understand segmentation and different consumer types and organize this into clear knowledge of product and behavior. 
  • Lead and support the commercial and marketing teams, by showing a clear knowledge of consumer needs, and presenting Wholesale product assortments aligned to those needs. 
  • Align regional Wholesale product strategies with internal stakeholders in charge of partner regions to ensure cross regional alignment 

 Deliver high-level Merchandising Tools: 

  • Create and present seasonal collection and visual assortment plans for key channels and customers across Europe. 
  • Build and deliver consumer-focused and brand-right, compelling product assortments, which unlock incremental consumer opportunities, drive market share growth and meet targeted financial goals. 
  • Deliver presentations and content that clearly articulates priorities and key products, as well as inspires and motivates stakeholders. 
  • Through formal and informal communication, deliver strong messages about merchandising plans. 
  • Define channels and create strong segmentation plans that are designed to grow the overall market for the Crocs consumer. 

Planning, analysis and data: 

  • Focus on productivity and efficiency. Edit and focus stories and product offerings to tell bigger messages. 
  • Forecasting through historical sales and insights of future trends. 
  • Ability to read and interpret sales data and analytics to gain strong understanding of consumer and trends. 
  • Pricing and margin analysis to ensure profitability and sustainable growth. 

 Who are you? 

  • Bachelor degree 
  • 5 years’ experience in Merchandising and/or Commercial role 
  • A track-record of driving Merchandising strategies and assortments with Sales Teams and customers within the Wholesale marketplace. 
  • Understanding of the European footwear channel. 
  • Consumer focused. Has the ability to understand product and brand through the lens of the consumer. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Can influence effectively. 
  • Excellent emotional intelligence and social skills to engage and interact with stakeholders from different cultural backgrounds effectively. 
  • Thrives in a team environment. Someone who loves to support others and be supported. 
  • Action oriented and quick learner. Enjoys working in a fast, flexible and solutions-focused business. 
  • Ability to make Bold Bets. Through experience and knowledge, make strong decisions about taking the consumer forward into new space and back this up with an ability to land your vision. 
  • Fluent level of English 
  • Knowledge and experience in the Central and Northern European marketplaces is preferred. 
  • Excellent skills in MS Excel, Outlook & Teams are required. 
  • Pre-existing knowledge of product / planning systems such as Centric, O9 and/or NuOrder are helpful. 
  • Working time involves travelling regularly, to the US and throughout Europe
