Introduction on the role: 

The Director, Digital Commerce will lead the digital business in EMEA for the HEYDUDE brand. This role requires a commercial strategic leader that understands how to launch, grow and execute brands in EMEA, bridging the gap between the long-term needs with speed in execution. Holding a deep understanding of digital and ecommerce trends, technologies, and best practices across EMEA markets. The focus is to drive online sales growth, enhance the consumer experience, and increase brand presence across digital platforms. The role has full digital P&L responsibility including ecommerce and partner digital (Amazon, Zalando).

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing the full end to end of a commercial digital business, from trading to marketing, merchandising and operations. They will work closely with cross-functional teams in technology, operations, logistics, finance, product and brand marketing to provide a strong consumer experience. This role demands strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to drive innovation in a fast-paced environment. The Director Digital Commerce will sit on the International Digital Commerce team, and is a key partner in the cross functional international leadership team, working to prioritize the holistic HEYDUDE business within Crocs Inc 

What will you do? 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive EMEA eCommerce strategy aligned with HEYDUDE overall short- and long-term business goals and objectives.
  • Specialist and direct experience and knowledge of the EMEA region, with a focus on the UK, Germany and France. Consumer needs and expectations, platforms, channels, digital operations.
  • Set clear financial goals around revenue and profitability, monitor KPIs, and analyze data to measure the success of eCommerce initiatives through data-driven decisions.
  • Areas of responsibility to include ecommerce, marketplace and digital wholesale. Functions to include GTM planning, content, merchandising, buying, performance marketing, CRM, digital operations. Working with matrix partners in finance, HR, demand planning, operations, brand marketing, product, broader wholesale, distributor and other commercial and functional teams within the business.
  • Connecting relevant consumers at each step of their journey to drive consumer engagement. Delivering localized marketing, content, merchandising and operations.
  • Lead digital marketing strategies and budget to drive traffic and conversion of both new / repeat customers while maximizing ROI. Develop CRM principles for database growth and consumer retention.
  • Build an inclusive team culture and develop a growing and talented digital team.
  • Oversee the campaign planning process including online product assortment, new product launch and GTM, pricing, and promotions in collaboration with merchandising, inventory and GTM teams.
  • Work with IT and technology and external partners to develop and deploy a Technology roadmap.
  • For marketplace and e-tail partners, develop a holistic strategy with appropriate segmentation and value proposition across storefronts.
  • Ensure clear merchandising measures are in place to manage inventory effectively across all digital channels – ecommerce, marketplace and etail.
  • Identify new growth opportunities by working cross functionally with key partners in brand marketing, retail, wholesale, finance, as well as with external partners.
  • Manage relationships with global and local agencies – digital marketing, partner and technology.
  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders as part of the regional Leadership Team on market wide projects.
  • Influence global, regional, and local strategies as a member of the commercial leadership team and implement best practices from other markets. 

 

Who are you? 

  • Degree in any general discipline/field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years’ eCommerce and digital experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding and knowledge running a commercial digital business. From daily/ weekly trading to consumer experience and operations.
  • To include experience across digital functions; digital marketing, merchandising, user experience, content planning, operations, financial P&L planning. Wholesale business ownership experience beneficial.
  • Local/regional marketplace landscape knowledge and experience.
  • Collaborative team player. Strong collaboration and communication skills to work smoothly across multiple cultures and time zones within a matrix environment.
  • Strong influencing skills, ability to influence change within matrix environments without direct management of certain teams and individuals.
  • Advanced knowledge of digital marketing and merchandising principles in a consumer brand environment.
  • Footwear and/or apparel for global brands a plus.
  • Track record of successfully managing both brand.com and third party marketplaces. Wholesale and etail experience a plus.
  • Self-driven and entrepreneurial. Sets the strategy, manages all levels (up, across and down) and continues to execute at high standard.
  • Highly organized, consumer-centric, business-driven. Strong planner with flexibility to be both proactive and reactive.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be flexible.
  • Growth mindset. Shows a positive intent, finding solutions and problem solving. Supportive of the team, helping to develop them, using experience to show what’s possible.
  • Decisive and accountable for decision making. Ability to move forward and sense when enough information is available to make a decision.
