Central Retail Operations Manager (EMEA)

Introduction on the role: 

We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Central Retail Operations Manager to join our Crocs EMEA retail headquarters team. This role supports the Sr. Retail Manager by overseeing central retail operations, communications, and ensuring that all necessary programs are in place to enable operational excellence and elevated consumer experiences in our Crocs stores. You will be responsible for managing store communication, coordinating Go-To-Market (GTM) execution, overseeing New Store Openings (NSO) and driving a strong culture of learning & development into our field among other operational responsibilities 

 

What will you do? 

Retail Store Communication: 

  • Content Management: Ensure consistent communication and updates across all stores, keeping retail & x-functional teams aligned. 
  • Weekly Communication: Conduct weekly communication via Zipline to ensure store teams receive weekly gameplans, tasks and key information in a timely manner. 

Seasonal GTM (Go-To-Market) Instore Execution: 

  • Calendar Development: Collaborate with x-functional teams (Product, VM, Marketing) to execute and coordinate Seasonal GTM plans, ensuring alignment across the retail channel. 
  • Engagement & Feedback: Foster a collaborative environment by encouraging feedback and engagement from store teams to refine seasonal strategies. 

New Store Openings (NSO): 

  • NSO Coordination: Lead the operational aspects of New Store Openings (NSO) across the EMEA region, ensuring smooth and efficient execution from planning to store launch. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various teams, including store design & development, finance and HR, to ensure all operational requirements are met for successful store openings. 

Store Staff Training, Recognition and Engagement: 

  • Learning & Development: Collaborate with L&D & HR teams to execute the Crocs learning program through the LMS system. 
  • Bonus & Incentive Program Management: Co-ordinate the bonus program and ensure timely execution. Support design and optimization of incentive programs based on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive desired behaviors and sales and performance. 
  • Engagement Programs: Drive recognition and engagement strategies to boost morale and enhance performance across retail teams. 
  • Team Gatherings: Organize and facilitate retail conferences and team gatherings to promote community, communicate updates, and build teamwork within the store network and head-office. 

Analysis and Reporting: 

  • KPI Analysis: Regularly analyze retail KPIs and trends to identify areas for improvement and optimization in store operations. 
  • Performance Reporting: Generate reports that summarize the impact of implemented measures on sales performance and store operations. 

Third-Party Vendor & Contract Management: 

  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and ensure that contracts meet the needs of the retail stores, such as supply programs and technology requirements. 

Retail Systems Management: 

  • System Optimization: Manage and optimize the use of retail systems, including Zipline for communication and PowerBI for reporting, to streamline operations. 
  • Store IT Roadmap Coordination: Serve as the key liaison between retail operations and IT, working on store needs, system roadmaps, and ensuring that the necessary technological support is in place. 
  • Problem Resolution: Address and escalate operational system issues with IT to ensure minimal disruption to store operations. 

 

Who are you? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Retail Management, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in retail operations, with a focus on multi-store management and process & infrastructure optimization within the EMEA region. 
  • Proven experience in a retail operations management role, with a strong focus on communications management. 
  • Excellent knowledge of retail systems, particularly in communication tools. Software knowledge of ‘Zipline’ and ‘Kronos’ is a plus. 
  • Excellent capabilities in common Microsoft Software Tools. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use retail KPIs for performance improvement. Knowledge of Power BI is a plus. 
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships effectively. 
  • Passion for the Crocs brand and a commitment to delivering operational excellence. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
