eCommerce Technical Project Manager

Introduction on the role: 

Crocs is looking for an eCommerce Technical Project Manager to lead technical execution and project management for initiatives across Crocs-operated digital websites and platforms in India. This person brings a wealth of experience, domain expertise, and excitement around eCommerce, digital delivery and operations. 

This person will partner with Digital Product Management, Enterprise Project Management, and IT Leadership, and must have previous experience as a project manager, scrum leader or technical producer working on end-to-end eCommerce projects and ecosystems. They will be highly organized, self-motivated, solutions-oriented and able to think creatively and quickly, even in a crisis. This person possesses the ability to quickly prioritize requests and issues, identify the technical resources required, and define and execute next steps.Excellent project management, communication skills and attention to detail are essential for the position. This is a fast-paced role that requires someone with a high degree of technical understanding, attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and an ability to develop creative and effective solutions. 

The Project Manager in this role must be comfortable working flexible hours to accommodate project meetings with our global eCommerce teams, including early morning and/or late evening calls on a semi-frequent basis. 

What will you do? 

  • Directly responsible for coordination and successful execution of all assigned technical projects. 
  • Schedule and lead all necessary meetings, create and run the agendas, capture and distribute all notes; ensure meetings are maximally productive in minimal time. 
  • Identify and help prioritize technical tasks needed to fulfill various requests and subsequently identify the appropriate technical resources needed to complete each. 
  • Keep work on track through detailed Jira ticket management, clear task lists, issue tracking, status reports, and meeting notes. 
  • Create and maintain project documentation in Confluence. 
  • Drive and facilitate quick and informed decision-making across different levels of the organization. 
  • Build and manage detailed (and often compressed) work back plans and production schedules when needed. 
  • Drive and manage content development where applicable – collect and communicate feedback and changes, organize and deliver assets (copy, translations, imagery), review and ensure all feedback is incorporated and delivered. 
  • Serve as liaison between eCommerce delivery, eCommerce merchandising, global marketing, IT, legal and other cross functional teams within the Crocs org. 
  • Help troubleshoot production issues with the ability to dig deep into a problem across multiple systems at various levels. 
  • Know every detail of the given digital project at any given moment and serve as the “go-to” for all other members of eCommerce delivery team. 
  • Partner with QA and oversee testing of all deliverables and changes. 
  • Schedule and lead team agile ceremonies where applicable – daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint review, sprint retros. 
  • This role knows what to expect, what to do next, and how to keep teammates focused and productive. 

 

Who are you? 

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field 
  • 3-5 years of technical project management experience at a digital agency or brand focused on direct-to-consumer eCommerce 
  • Previous technical experience, experience as a developer or other validated technical expertise desired 
  • In depth understanding of end-to-end eCommerce, from front-end to back-end, including eCommerce platforms, CMS (content management systems), OMS (order management systems), WMS (warehouse management systems), and shipping/fulfillment processes 
  • Experience managing digital projects such as direct-to-consumer websites, mobile apps, and eCommerce platforms and integrations 
  • Strong understanding of Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify or similar eCommerce platforms 
  • Experience working in Jira and Confluence 
  • Ability to understand and communicate highly technical concepts to a variety of audiences (developers, architects, business owners, Crocs leadership) 
  • Demonstrated confidence and leadership skills, comfortable directing teammates and holding teammates accountable 
  • A sense of ownership and urgency for the projects you manage 
  • Demonstrated talent for creating a positive and motivating environment for teams and for building strong internal and external relationships 
  • Ability to help define, document, and protect project scope 
  • Ability to multi-task across simultaneous projects, requests and deadlines, processing and communicating information quickly to appropriate parties 
  • Comfortable with high pressure, high profile and fast-paced environments 
  • Highly organized and detail oriented 
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a flexible attitude toward evolving responsibilities and environments
