Sr. Inventory Planner (Maternity Cover)

Introduction on the role:
7 month- fixed term contract
We are seeking a proactive and analytical Senior Inventory Planner to join our team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. This role will be responsible for building inventory projections for the Rest of World (ROW) region, which includes EMEA, India, and Latam. The planner will play a critical part in the Open-to-Buy (OTB) process for EMEA and support the preparation of global S&OP materials and analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Inventory Planning to ensure alignment with global inventory targets and provide key insights into both regional and global performance.
What will you do?
Inventory Management:
- Build and manage inventory projections for ROW (EMEA, India, Latam), ensuring accuracy and alignment with global strategies and Financial targets.
- Play a key role in the Open-to-Buy (OTB) process for EMEA, ensuring effective management of stock levels.
- Collaborate with finance to drive alignment between ROW demand planning and financial objectives for AOP/LE.
- Support the consolidation of data and input for AOP/LE inventory targets for ROW.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Provide recommendations for reducing excess inventory and monitor corrective actions.
- Assist in preparing global S&OP reports and contribute to ROW inventory roll preparation.
S&OP Support
- Support the preparation of global S&OP materials, including analysis and presentation of key data.
- Collaborate with regional planning leads and cross-functional teams to gather relevant inputs and ensure comprehensive reporting.
Process improvement
- Participate in strategic process improvement initiatives and support relevant projects.
- Actively contribute to system changes or implementations.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvements to management.
Ad Hoc Support
- Respond to ad hoc requests from the Director of Inventory Planning.
- Provide support across both global and ROW functions during the maternity cover period.
Who are you?
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or supply chain, logistics and transportation; exception possible for highly extensive and relevant work experience
- At least 3 years previous experience in Inventory or Supply analyst/planning role.
- Proven experience in inventory management, planning, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data.
- High proficiency in Excel and familiarity with planning tools.
- Experience supporting global S&OP processes and managing inventory KPIs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Fluent English speaking and writing skills.
- International experience- comfort level with different cultures, languages, etc.
- Knowledge of SAP
- Presentation skills to format data in clear and understandable way for end information recipient
- Writing skills for summarizing information and preparing reports and advice
