Inventory Planner EMEA

Introduction on the role:
The EMEA Inventory Planner is responsible for ensuring delivery of European Demand Planning procurement requirements while driving best-practice of inventory management processes. Focus to deliver On-time/in-full and drive excellent customer service while driving to the shortest customer lead time.
What will you do?
Manage inventory levels
- Responsible for meeting Service Level Agreement, Open to Buy targets and financial goals.
- Interface with factory planners on short/long-term capacity constraints and assess impact on supply plans and sales.
- Analyze Excess report, identify root cause, trends & improve process
- Review consumption and take action (adjust supply, communicate shortages/excess)
- Analyze forecast trends and set inventory strategy safety stock levels to optimize inventory levels
Planning orders & sourcing
- Monitor Planned Orders status and place POs in ERP within business requirements
- Work with supply sources & countries on stock replenishment
- Ensure product is shipped ex source on the requested delivery date and expedite as necessary
- Monitor sales and create supply plans for Europe and highlight/respond to exceptions. Take appropriate actions and communicate to order management, sales groups and channels.
- Review for planning parameter changes, compliance to business rules (lead times, launch dates) and errors.
Analysis and reporting
- Perform demand/supply gap analysis and supply capacity analysis and identify issues and actions such as demand/supply imbalance and lead time variance
- Manage and report on order book integrity across manufacturing, sales and planning groups
Process improvement and other support
- Support strategic analysis, projects for process improvement
- Review size curve analysis and recommend/implement changes as needed
- Manage projects and provide status updated
- Improve existing tools/processes to support changing strategies
- Create new tools/processes to support changing strategies
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and communicate to management
Who are you?
- Bachelor’s degrees
- Previous experience in Inventory, Demand or Supply planning role
- Fluent English speaking and writing skills.
- Understanding of inventory management, S&OP, and integrated business planning process
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong organizational skills with eyes for details
- Strong communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills required
- International experience- comfort level with different cultures, languages, etc.
- Knowledge of demand planning tools & software (SAP/MRP)
- Experience with Demand Planning tools is a plus.
