What will you be doing:
The Greeter position is a role that allows you to welcome visitors and families of the residents of the Pat Roche House with warmth and sensitivity. Being a part of the Hospice team, your role is crucial in providing care to families at a home that provides to maintain dignity for every patient. The schedule is every other weekend Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Compensation: $20/hr.
Your responsibilities include:
- Welcome patients, families, and visitors with warmth, compassion, and professionalism
- Serve as the first point of contact, creating a calm and supportive first impression
- Direct visitors to patient rooms, common areas, and facility resources
- Notify hospice staff of arrivals, especially during evenings or after hours
- Maintain a peaceful, quiet, and orderly entrance and lobby area
- Answer basic questions about the facility, visiting guidelines, and amenities
- Offer comfort items such as tissues, water, or coffee as appropriate
- Respect confidentiality and uphold the dignity and privacy of patients and families
What we’re looking for in you:
- Interest in health care facility and passion for hospice philosophy a plus
- Strong people, communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to change and willingness to switch gears easily
- Respectful of patient privacy and maintaining confidentiality
- Kitchen certification training available
- Ability to work every other weekend Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
