YOUR ROLE
We’re looking for a bright Assistant Media Planner to help manage the day-to-day responsibilities media planning responsibilities. A naturally curious mind, resourcefulness, a love for numbers and a passion for advertising are a must.
The Assistant Planner is an entry-level position that assists Planners and Supervisors with strategic planning and client service. Assistant Planners are trained and educated on the media landscape by their peers as well as through formalized training.
You will develop professional writing skills, tackle media math, and learn various planning and research approaches. Additionally, assistants will have opportunities to communicate with clients and external teams, focused on project management and accountability.
A successful Assistant planner is motivated, organized, and holds themselves accountable for assigned tasks. You are a skilled multi-tasker and communicator who thrives while working in a team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reliable, ethical & operates in the best interest of Crossmedia & clients
- Collaborates with Planners and Supervisors on strategic media plan development
- Assists in creating and presenting strategic media campaign document
- Assists with generating unique audience insights and their application to media
- Participates in team brainstorms on the creation of consideration sets
- Collaborates with Investment, Redbox (Analytics) and Strategy counterparts to ensure media plan alignment
- Corresponds on day-to-day communications with internal teams and key partner
- Maintains complete knowledge of campaign details
- Assists in managing campaign flowcharts and presentation decks to maintain holistic media plan accuracy
- Assists with investigating media campaign results and developing cross-channel optimization plans to improve campaign performance
- Aggregates data where needed for reporting visuals
- Note-taking and dissemination to relevant teams.
Focuses on a quality Crossmedia product, adhering to our high standards
- Shows a strong willingness to learn
- Consistently works towards the art of business emails and writing
- Presents documents clearly and confidently to both internal leads and clients.
- Maintains a working understanding of tools (Vivvix/Pathmatics, YouGov, Commspoint, MRI/Simmons, Infegy, RBOO and NMI)
- Develops an understanding of quantitative media strategy elements – media mix articulation, role of channel, reach and frequency, flighting strategy, etc
- Consistent research into emerging industry trends, relevant consumer insights, and competitive opportunities
- Maintains familiarity with client business objectives in service of the connection to day-to-day work

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s in Advertising, Marketing or related field
- A very high proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Must have a love for numbers and numerical aptitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and adaptability
- A strong interest and knowledge of Media Planning
- Previous marketing, advertising or media agency experience are a plus.
Please note this role requires a candidate have proximity to our NY office and this is not a remote role. We offer a hybrid work setting with employees working onsite at our NYC office with flexibility to work from home.
Salary range is $43k - $48k commensurate with experience. Compensation is determined on the skills, qualifications and tenure of the applicant.
