Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant

The Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant offers ECMH consultation services through a grant-funded program serving Lake and Geauga County school districts. This position is responsible for programmatic consultation involving prevention, training and professional development service delivery to school districts and administration. This provider will address barriers to school success for preschool students through 2nd grade as a member of a collaborative team supporting the integration of social-emotional, behavioral and mental health intervention strategies within the educational system. This position will have an office at our Painesville, Ohio location, however, the position does have a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities of the EC Mental Health Consultant include but are not limited to:
- Consulting with educational staff and administrators via in-person or virtual means of the assigned region which includes Lake and Geauga counties.
- Provide trauma informed ECMH consultation services, training and professional development in partnership with educational staff and administrators within the educational system and/or virtually when needed.
- Provide accurate, concise, and concurrent documentation according to program procedures and policies.
- Provide consultation and collaboration with community partners and treatment teams. Promote Crossroads Health services and engage in outreach activities.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services/Social Work/ Mental Health/ Early Childhood Education/ Education or a related field
- One (1) year relevant experience with the early childhood population, education systems and consultation service delivery
- Licensed in the State of Ohio: teaching/ education, ECMH, social work, nursing or related field
