Our Crisis Services Department is expanding, providing an opportunity for a Mobile Crisis Clinician to become a part of our exceptional crisis team in a full-time, Monday-Friday, 1pm-9pm position. This ever-important role will have an opportunity to truly make a positive impact in the lives of Lake County residents. The Crisis Clinician offers Crisis Intervention services within home, office and community setting to youth, adults and families experiencing a behavioral health crisis. With a Trauma Informed approach, this position will be a representative for the organization and how we offer integrated services for recovery and mental health.
More specifically, the Crisis Clinician is responsible for:
- De-escalating and/or stabilizing the individual and/or environment, linking the individual to the appropriate level of care and services including peer support, assuring safety, developing a crisis plan, providing information as appropriate to family/significant others, and resolving the emergent situation.
- Providing and completing risk/crisis assessments of individuals regarding level of danger to self/others, severity of psychiatric symptoms, and existing support system to determine a recommendation of continued outpatient or inpatient care; outside of business hours will be required.
- Providing short term crisis counseling and outreach to support individuals, youth and families through the healing process and aid in forming a strong connection with integrated healthcare services.
- Providing consultation and collaboration with community partners.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling preferred.
- LSW or LPC licensure required.
- Two (2) years of experience in the mental health field preferred.
- Must have an acceptable driving record (4 points or less), reliable transportation, and carry automobile insurance with minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 and property damage of $50,000.
