
Counseling Support Specialist - Youth Outpatient

The Counseling Support Specialist offers mental health support services for individuals within the home, community, or office setting to monitor and/or alleviate client mental health symptoms. With a trauma informed lens, this provider will engage as a member of collaborative team to offer clients psychoeducation and behavioral interventions. The provider will also be able to recognize when a client is in crisis and calmly and immediately connect to Crossroads Health’s crisis services. This position is specific to Youth Services.

- Provide trauma informed care that address symptoms, behaviors, and assists an individual in eliminating barriers to seeking or maintaining education and employment, including but not limited to client psychoeducation, symptom monitoring, brief interventions and ongoing assessment of needs including ascertaining client level of care
- Will be responsible for developing a treatment plan together with the client
- The Counseling Support Specialist will be responsible for developing a treatment plan together with the client. Deliver positive results as evidenced by utilization of outcomes measures
- The Counseling Support Specialist may also provide some case management duties such as helping clients connect to other resources or with applications for benefits
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field with related experience below
- Minimum of one-year in the behavioral health field
- QMHS/QBHS within 15 days of hire, (employer provided)
- LSW (preferred)
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License
- Must have an acceptable driving record (4 points of less), reliable transportation, and carry automobile insurance with minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 and property damage of $50,000
