
Head Start Enrollment Specialist
Our Early Childhood Services (ECS) Center is looking for an EHS/HS Enrollment Specialist. The EHS/HS Enrollment Specialist offers support services to low-income and at-risk pregnant women and families with infants and toddlers within the Early Childhood Services facility, community settings, and in client’s homes. This position is responsible for individual services and oversight of the eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment, and attendance (ERSEA) services for the Head Start and Early Head Start programming in compliance with the Head Start Program Performance Standards. This unlicensed provider will engage as a member of a collaborative team. With a Trauma Informed approach, this position will be a representative for the organization and how we offer integrated services for recovery and mental health.
More specifically, the primary responsibilities include:
- Providing accurate, concise, and concurrent documentation according to program procedures and policies.
- Providing consultation and collaboration with community partners. Promote Crossroads Health services and engage in outreach activities.
- Providing trauma informed, relationship-based enrollment services to clients and their family system in home, community, office, and virtual settings..
- Engaging in outreach activities as necessary.
Position requirements include:
- Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, or Business required. Bachelor's or Master's level preferred.
- 5 years’ or more experience working with at-risk children or families.
- Prior experience with intake/eligibility determination and Head Start preferred.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus, but not required.
- Able to participate 2 evenings a week if needed.
- Must have an acceptable driving record (4 points of less), reliable transportation, and carry automobile insurance with minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 and property damage of $50,000.
