About the role

In the role of Senior Benefits Analyst, you will report to the Manager, Global Benefits.

This is slated as a six month contract.

We are considering applicants for the location(s): LA, SF.

The Benefits Analyst supports the administration and day-to-day operations of Crunchyroll's North America benefits programs, including the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This role is hands-on, focused on accurate benefits processing, compliance support, data integrity, and employee support, while contributing to continuous improvement of benefits operations.

 

Core Areas of Responsibility

  • Support the daily administration of health, welfare, and retirement benefit programs across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, ensuring accurate processing.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits inquiries across North America, resolving routine and moderately complex issues and escalating as appropriate.
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of benefit plans, policies, and administrative procedures for U.S., Canadian, and Mexican programs.
  • Support compliance activities related to benefits programs, including U.S. federal and state regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA), applicable Canadian federal and provincial requirements, and Mexican labor and social security requirements, in partnership with internal teams and external advisors.
  • Administer leave of absence programs, including U.S. FMLA and Paid Family & Medical Leave programs, Canadian statutory and company-sponsored leaves, and Mexican statutory leave programs.
  • Perform benefits processing activities, including enrollments, life events, terminations, COBRA (U.S.), beneficiary updates, disability, accident and death claims, and leave administration.
  • Assist with retirement and savings program administration, including U.S. 401(k), Canadian retirement programs (e.g., RRSP), and applicable Mexican savings or retirement plans, as required.
  • Support the annual North America open enrollment process, including system configuration support, data validation, employee communications, and issue resolution across all three countries.
  • Maintain accurate benefits data across Workday and vendor systems; perform audits and reconciliations to ensure data integrity for U.S., Canada, and Mexico populations.
  • Process and audit benefits invoices, research discrepancies, and support resolution of billing issues with U.S., Canadian, and Mexican vendors.
  • Partner with third-party administrators, brokers, and local vendors across North America to support operational needs and resolve day-to-day issues.
  • Assist with benefits documentation, employee communications, and training materials tailored to U.S., Canadian, and Mexican audiences.
  • Support the Manager, Global Benefits and senior team members with reporting, analysis, and special projects as needed.

About You

  • 2+ years of experience in benefits administration or HR operations, supporting U.S. benefits and exposure to Canadian and/or Mexican programs.
  • Working knowledge of North America health, welfare, and retirement programs, with a strong foundation in U.S. benefits.
  • Familiarity with benefits-related compliance requirements in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico
  • A strong focus on data accuracy and compliance support.
  • A service-oriented mindset with a commitment to supporting a positive employee experience.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
