About the role

We are seeking a highly collaborative People Business Partner (Director level) to support HR for HR and the Executive Office. This role reports into the Vice President, Global People Business Partnerships.

In this role, you will partner with senior business leaders to translate business strategy into talent and organizational priorities that enable long-term business success. You will lead initiatives aligned with our enterprise HR strategy that strengthen organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, leadership capability, succession planning, employee engagement, and organizational change. 

We are looking for a People Business Partnerships Director with experience working in highly matrixed organizations in a global company.  This role will be supporting scaling teams in a fast-growing environment where HR infrastructure is continually evolving. 

The ideal candidate is able to move quickly from problem to solution while balancing enterprise HR practices and policies with local employment laws and requirements. You will bring a data-informed mindset, a high tolerance for ambiguity, and the ability to influence effectively without authority. You are also a trusted partner to leaders, helping them navigate complex People challenges while building high-performing, inclusive teams and a strong employee culture.

Core Areas of Responsibility

  • Act as a trusted People Partner for leaders and employees, providing practical, timely guidance on HR related matters while driving people initiatives that align with HR enterprise practices and standards. 
  • Collaborate with centralized and cross-functional HR CoE teams (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Total Rewards, Talent Development, Employee Relations, IT, Finance) to ensure smooth execution of people solutions. 
  • Serve as the People Business Partner to senior leaders across your assigned client group, aligning people strategies with business objectives and long-term organizational priorities. 
  • In partnership with the VP, Global People Business Partnerships you will work  with business leaders to implement talent strategies, organizational design recommendations, workforce planning, and leadership initiatives that drive organizational effectiveness.
  • Provide executive coaching and strategic guidance to senior leaders on organizational effectiveness, leadership development, performance management, succession planning, employee engagement, organizational change, and employee relations.
  • Partner closely with the VP, Global People Business Partnerships to lead complex organizational initiatives, including restructures, operating model design, workforce planning, talent reviews, succession planning, and change management efforts.
  • Utilize qualitative and quantitative people data to identify organizational trends, inform workforce decisions, evaluate organizational effectiveness, and influence business strategy.
  • Lead complex employee relations matters with sound judgment, balancing business needs, employee experience, and organizational risk.
  • Champion Crunchyroll's culture, values, and leadership expectations while fostering an inclusive, high-performing employee experience.
  • Build strong partnerships across the global People organization to ensure alignment, consistency, and execution of enterprise-wide People programs.
  • Drive the implementation and adoption of enterprise People initiatives by leading thoughtful change management and communication strategies.
  • Lead, coach, and develop People team members or project teams as appropriate, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

About You

  • Hold a BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, Communications or a related field and/or equivalent working experience
  • Have 15+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner for HR or in a related role
  • Bring solid knowledge of HR disciplines, including talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational design, workforce planning, performance management, compensation, and local employment laws 
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels
  • Are proactive, solutions-oriented, and comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Have strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment when navigating complex or ambiguous situations
  • Have hands-on experience with day-to-day people operations
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion
  • Thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with driven, thoughtful colleagues

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, employer matched retirement savings, time-off programs, and progressive health benefits and perks.
