
Business Systems Analyst
Job Description
CSCI is seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in specific business processes and play a pivotal role in aligning systems scope and objectives with organizational goals and Department of Defense (DoD) industry requirements. You will work as a key member of a project team, offering technical guidance on the business impacts of implementing various system solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define systems scope and objectives based on a deep understanding of business processes and DoD requirements
- Analyze and document business needs, system requirements, and process improvements
- Provide technical and functional guidance within project teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions
- Prepare documentation and reports in accordance with DoD standards, including DAMIR and DAES OSD formats
- Use systems such as ARIS and SAP to support enterprise business functions and workflows
- Ensure compliance with DoD lifecycle and acquisition management frameworks
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in business systems analysis
- Certification: Must hold a recognized Project Management certification (e.g., PMP or equivalent).
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Extensive knowledge of DoD Lifecycle Management, including DoD 5000.1, 5000.2, and the associated Guidebook.
- Familiarity with the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.
- Hands-on experience with ARIS system engineering tools and SAP ERP products.
- Proficient in Defense Acquisition Management Information Retrieval (DAMIR) and DAES OSD reporting formats.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Project Management tools.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
- Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
- Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
- Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
- Past experience working with a federal agency
- Department of Defense experience is a plus!
