
Business Systems Analyst
Job Description
CSCI is seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to play a key role in aligning business processes and system functionality within the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) 12.x environment. This position is responsible for formulating system scope and objectives that align with the organization’s strategic goals and industry best practices. As a key contributor to project teams, the analyst will provide expertise on the business impact of system solutions and changes.
Responsibilities
- Define system scope and objectives in relation to business plans and industry requirements within the Oracle EBS 12.x framework
- Conduct fit-gap analyses to support both current-state assessments and future-state planning, including cloud migration readiness
- Develop clear, detailed functional specifications and supporting documentation (MD050, process maps, use cases)
- Provide expert insight into the business implications of system configurations and enhancements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support solution design, development, testing, and deployment
- Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by aligning technical capabilities with business goals
Minimum Requirements
- Active DoD security clearance (Secret or higher)
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience as a Business Systems Analyst or a similar role supporting ERP systems
- Bachelor's degree
- Must hold a recognized Project Management certification (e.g., PMP or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience with Oracle EBS R12.x across multiple functional areas
- Process/Tool Familiarity:
- Experience with Product Support Management (PSM) principles and practices
- Working knowledge of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework (AAF) and DoD acquisition processes
- Familiarity with the ARIS system engineering tool for business process modeling and analysis
- Exposure to or integration experience with SAP ERP modules
- Software Proficiency:
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar platforms
- Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
- Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional presence
Preferred Skills
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
- Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
- Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
- Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
- Past experience working with a federal agency
- Department of Defense experience is a plus!
