
Operations Research Analyst
Job Description
CSCI Consulting is looking for an Operations Research Analyst to support our Department of War (DoW)/Department of Defense (DoD) client. In this role, the consultant will provide expertise in economic analysis, cost modeling, and IT problem modeling. This key role involves applying advanced operations research techniques to develop detailed models that support programming and simulation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost analysis, including statistical, financial, and cost-accounting concepts, and experience supporting DoD or Federal Oracle shared service providers. With a focus on defining and formulating economic analyses and related studies, you will monitor project adherence to model objectives and contribute to strategic decision-making. Responsibilities
- Provide experience in operations research related directly to economic analysis, cost modeling, and modeling of IT problems
- Apply appropriate operations research modeling techniques to problems that model input, output, and logical flow in sufficient detail for programming
- Monitor the mathematical and programming aspects of a project for adherence to the objectives of the model
- Capable of developing models that can utilize simulation.
- Capable of applying operations research methodology to defining and formulating economic analysis and related benefit, cost, and risk studies
- Expert in the principles, theories, procedures, and techniques of cost analysis, including statistical concepts (standard deviation, confidence limits, and expected value), financial analysis concepts (present value analysis, Return on Investment (ROI), discounting, and inflation), and cost-accounting concepts (depreciation, amortization, overhead identification, and distribution)
Minimum Requirements
- Must have five (5) years' experience supporting DoD or Federal Oracle shared service providers on an Oracle EBS R12.2 platform or higher.
- Must have a DoD Secret Clearance
- DoD 8570.01-M Certification: DFARS 252.239-7001 Information Assurance Contractor Training and Certification is required for this position.
- IA Baseline Certification: Attachment_3_DOD 8570 Approved Baseline Certifications_Full_20210526
- CE/OS Certificate: Attachment_4_DLA Approved CS CE List_v28_20230221. Certification must be applicable to the Oracle based DAI Application Environment
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
