Job Description

CSCI Consulting is looking for a FI/CO FM Federal Financials & Funds Management Analyst to support a federal government client with a Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS) modernization initiative by providing subject matter expertise in federal financial management, Funds Management (FM), and SAP S/4HANA-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation. The analyst will lead and support business process reengineering, system configuration, and integration activities to ensure auditability, compliance with federal financial regulations, and alignment with Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE) mission requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide functional expertise in SAP FI/CO and Funds Management (FM) within a federal financial management environment supporting JTMS implementation
  • Support business process reengineering (BPR) efforts to standardize and optimize financial and funds management processes across the JDDE within the ERP solution
  • Analyze, document, and validate As-Is and To-Be financial processes, ensuring alignment with audit standards
  • Lead and support the design, for FI/CO and FM modules within the JTMS ERP solution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (logistics, transportation, acquisitions, and finance) to ensure end-to-end integration of financial processes
  • Provide expertise in federal funds control, budget execution, commitment/obligation tracking, and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with DoW Financial Management Regulation (FMR), USSGL, SFIS, and audit requirements, supporting financial statement auditability
  • Participate in stakeholder engagement, working groups, and governance forums to ensure mission alignment and requirements traceability

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5–10+ years of experience in federal financial management (DoW preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience with SAP FI/CO and/or Funds Management (FM)
  • Strong knowledge of DoW financial processes, including budgeting, execution, and reporting
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations (SAP S/4HANA preferred)
  • Knowledge of DoW FMR, USSGL, SFIS, and federal audit standards
  • Experience with business process analysis, documentation, and reengineering
  • Ability to support system testing (SIT/UAT), data validation, and reconciliation activities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
  • Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional presence

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting logistics, or transportation-related financial systems
  • Prior experience with JTMS or similar DoD ERP modernization initiatives
  • SAP certification in FI, CO, or FM modules
  • Experience with audit remediation, FIAR, or financial statement audit support
  • Familiarity with integration between financial systems and logistics/supply chain systems
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid Agile development environments
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
  • Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
  • Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
  • Past experience working with a federal government agency
  • Department of War, etc. experience is a plus!
