Marketing Manager (FT - Hybrid)

JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing Manager is responsible for delivering day-to-day marketing initiatives and ensuring operational consistency. Reporting to the Marketing Director, this execution-focused role translates strategy into action, coordinates campaigns, manages content and events, and supports CSG’s brand presence and engagement within the municipal services consulting sector.

This position manages Marketing Associate(s) and Assistant(s) and partners with teams across the organization to support business development, brand visibility, consistent messaging, and seamless information exchange. While this position does not oversee proposal development staff, the Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with the Proposal Manager.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, strong in project management, and comfortable balancing creative work with structured execution. AEC industry and/or agency experience is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITES

Project Management

  • Execute marketing initiatives aligned with direction from the Marketing Director
  • Manage projects from concept through delivery, ensuring timelines, quality, and coordination across stakeholders
  • Maintain organization of marketing assets, workflows, and tools
  • Events & Business Development Support
  • Support conferences, career fairs, and client-facing events, including UX, materials, and staff coordination
  • Partner with the Proposal Manager to support business development by improving the design, consistency, and quality of proposal-related materials and visuals
  • Contribute to research on market trends, competitor activities, and industry news. Use this data to new opportunities for business development

Brand & Content Development

  • Develop and maintain marketing collateral, presentations, and brand materials
  • Support brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints
  • Contribute to visibility efforts, including social content, announcements, and general brand presence

Digital & Systems

  • Support website updates and ongoing content needs
  • Participate in the implementation and ongoing use of a CRM platform
  • Manage email marketing and basic digital channel execution as needed

Team Coordination

  • Oversee and prioritize work for the marketing operations team
  • Provide clear direction and ensure consistent output across deliverables

Budget & Performance

  • Track and manage marketing budget allocations across events, campaigns, and tools
  • Develop cost estimates for marketing activities and ensure efficient use of resources
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide reporting as needed
  • Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Perform other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of marketing experience, preferably in an agency or professional services environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a management role
  • Experience managing junior staff and contractors ; ability to collaborate with internal teams
  • Strong project management skills; experience with tools such as ClickUp, Notion, or similar
  • Experience supporting events, conferences, or field marketing efforts
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing operations workflows
  • Working knowledge of visual design principles and website content management (e.g., WordPress)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to execute consistently while managing multiple priorities
  • Possession and maintenance of a valid "C" California driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required

Highly preferred

  • Experience in AEC, municipal services, or a proposal-driven organization
  • Ability to contribute to design work (Adobe Creative Suite or similar)
  • Experience supporting proposal teams or business development functions
  • Experience building or refining marketing processes in a growing team
  • Familiarity with SharePoint

Salary Range

$141,519 - $156,000 USD
