Kennel Attendant

We are seeking a caring, reliable Kennel Assistant to join our Boarding team. You will play an essential role in ensuring every boarding pet has a positive, stress-free stay, and that pet parents feel confident and comfortable throughout the process. Responsibilities

• Feed, walk, play with, and administer medications to boarding patients as needed.
• Work collaboratively across departments to ensure that any boarding pet receives the necessary medical care.
• Communicate effectively with clients before, during, and after their pets’ stays; explain the boarding process and help alleviate concerns.
• Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable boarding spaces.
• Other duties as required to support the boarding/daycare team and uphold high standards of animal care and customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with pet care preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are valued.
• Knowledge of animal health, behavior, and different breeds is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow through on responsibilities.
• Ability to handle physically demanding work; comfortable working with animals of various sizes and temperaments.

Working Conditions

• Boarding/daycare setting, both indoors and outdoors. May involve exposure to noisy environments, cleaning chemicals, and animal waste.
• Possible exposure to zoonotic disease, bites, and scratches.
• Must be able to frequently walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Exposure to inclement weather when outside.
